The incoming Trump administration means that big changes are on the way in Washington, D.C.
Democrats are already scheming about what to do while they’re out of power.
And Democrats are making this scary move to adjust to Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
Democrats’ censorship operation prepares to scatter from Washington, D.C.
The Biden-Harris administration is one of the most hostile to free speech in American history.
Countless government agencies worked with Big Tech platforms to censor content on social media as exposed in the Supreme Court case Murthy v. Missouri.
The arrival of the Trump administration next January means that the government bureaucrats who worked on censorship will flee elsewhere for at least the next four years.
Former Trump State Department official Mike Benz predicted that the “censorship-industrial complex” in the Biden-Harris administration would move into academia and international organizations once Trump enters the White House during an appearance on the War Room podcast.
The first part of the strategy is blue states ramping up their censorship to force the entire country to comply with their laws.
“The state strategy will involve a whole swarm of new state laws in California, Oregon, Washington, New York, Illinois, and all the big blue states,” Benz said. “There will be a big push by the censorship industry activists in these states to codify laws that restrict the kind of content social media platforms can host.”
Benz said the goal was to force social media companies to comply with those state laws or lose the ability to operate in those states.
The goal would be to force social media companies to apply those policies to the rest of the country rather than deal with two sets of standards.
“They will also push for something called ‘media literacy,’” Benz explained. “These states will aim to box out social media platforms that allow free speech and box out news institutions like the War Room, preventing access to them on public Wi-Fi or from being cited in high school, middle school, or college exams.”
Censorship regime shifts to globalist institutions
Benz warned that censors would scatter out from the Biden-Harris administration into globalist institutions.
“That’s one battle at home. The second battle is a replay of what I call the transatlantic flank attack, similar to what occurred immediately after the 2016 election. They blamed the 2016 Election on free speech,” Benz began.
Government officials began calling in favors after the 2016 Election that they would repay when they returned to power.
“What they did to get the ball rolling on censorship, these exiles from the Hillary Clinton and John Kerry State Departments used their special set of skills – back-channeling with foreign regulators and diplomats – to conduct shadow diplomacy,” Benz said. “They leveraged financial influence and promised favors they can repay when they return to power to get foreign governments to institute censorship restrictions on American companies hosting pro-Trump content or accounts.”
“Mark my words: You will see an exodus from Tony Blinken’s State Department, with these officials moving into civil society jobs at Brookings, the Atlantic Council, CSIS, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Penn Biden Center, Stanford University, the Harvard Belfer Center, and other similar institutions,” Benz stated. “They will use their residual influence to make back-channel deals with NATO, the European Union, and governments in Brazil and Australia.”
A new administration in Washington, D.C. means the censorship industrial complex will shift its tactics.
