The CIA is a worse Swamp than Tulsi Gabbard imagined
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard oversees all 18 of the federal intelligence agencies.
She was tapped by President Donald Trump because she could be a change agent to the scandal-ridden intelligence community.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked Gabbard on a scale from one to 10 how “swampy is the intel community?” during an appearance on The Ingraham Angle.
“I knew it was bad coming in,” Gabbard replied. “It’s worse than I thought in a lot of different ways.”
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration offered a buyout to every employee at the CIA before Gabbard was confirmed to root out rogue bureaucrats who would undermine the President.
“I’d love to come back and talk to you as we pull back the layers of getting rid of the weaponization within the intelligence community, the politicization and those who are frankly trying to shape intelligence according to their own view or their own agenda. Rather than just providing our policymakers and the President with that unbiased, accurate, timely intelligence that they need to make their decisions,” Gabbard added.
The Biden administration released suspected terrorists into the country
Gabbard revealed that the Biden administration released more than 100 illegal aliens at the southern border who were suspected of having ties to ISIS.
“This example that we just talked about, where the Biden administration released these known or suspected terrorists or those with links to ISIS terrorists back into our country, you look at the dereliction of duty of that. But you also recognize this is one form of that politicization, where the Biden administration was so afraid of being labeled Islamophobes, they took this pro-Islamist bent in endangering our own national security that we see in that example,” Gabbard explained.
Only eight illegal aliens who were suspected of being connected to ISIS were detained by the Biden administration.
The Biden administration knew that illegal aliens from terrorism hotbeds were using a human smuggling network with links to ISIS.
“But we’ve also seen with the pro-Hamas rallies on streets across the country and the riots. So we see now with President Trump, he and I and others in the national security team are focusing our resources back where they belong, on keeping the American people safe and getting rid of those who seek to do us harm,” Gabbard stated.
The Trump administration has been trying to thin the ranks at the CIA by firing employees hired under Biden who were still on their probationary period.
CIA officers who worked on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs were also let go.
Donald Trump battled the Deep State during his first term in office.
This time he’s trying to make sure that he avoids a repeat of the battle by cleaning house in the intelligence agencies.
