Tucker Carlson was forced out of Fox News for crossing the establishment.
But he is still a highly influential voice in Republican politics.

Carlson rips Mike Johnson apart
Many on the Right were cautiously optimistic about House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) shortly after he was handed the Speaker gavel.
He was saying the right things about the war in Ukraine and FISA court abuses with regard to surveillance on American citizens.
But Johnson has seemingly reversed many of his positions.
He has been completely swallowed whole by the Washington, D.C., Swamp.
Johnson recently tried to sneak through a pork-laden spending bill that was thwarted because of heavy backlash.
Tucker Carlson discussed the issue in a recent interview with conservative commentator Eduardo Neret, who used to work as a producer for Carlson, and said that “there is something profoundly wrong” with Speaker Johnson.
Neret said that “right before Christmas, [Johnson] tried. . .to shove through a 1,500-page spending bill that would have given Chuck Schumer all of the leverage with the debt ceiling going into next year. . .I mean, there was a lot more than that in the bill, but, I mean, I guess the point is, like, what’s up with that?”
Carlson answered, “There’s something profoundly wrong. . .I don’t understand it exactly, but I watched him make the number one priority of his Speakership funding Ukraine without any audit at all, at a time when the U.S. border was open, the United States itself was being invaded, and his priority was protecting the borders of a country whose language he doesn’t speak, he knows nothing about; it’s not America.”
He added that it is “not the only country that he’s — whose interest he’s put above ours.”
“A kind of treason”
Carlson also argued that the behavior was borderline treasonous.
“And so, you know, I don’t overstate it. I think that’s a — it’s a kind of treason, yeah, and it’s very common in Washington,” Carlson continued. “He’s not the only one, but I, you know, once you see that, then you lose all faith in a man.”
Carlson also praised Elon Musk for raising awareness about the bill and getting people outraged about it.
“I wasn’t shocked by what happened, but I was very pleased to see Elon Musk just, just basically stop it single-handedly, which is amazing,” Carlson added.

Johnson has done a complete 180 since becoming Speaker.
During a July 2023 interview with independent journalist Glenn Greenwald—three months before he became Speaker—Johnson said, “You know, the top law enforcement agency in the country that is supposed to be protecting and serving the American people is being used against them. It’s violating the privacy of Americans. It is trampling upon their fundamental constitutional rights. And it goes without check because. . .what so many people are frustrated about is, you know, they asked me today, why can’t you guys get accountability? Why can’t you bring some order to this?”
Then Johnson became Speaker and fought to continue those same FISA court abuses.
Whatever the case may be, it’s safe to assume the Speaker has become a Swamp creature.
