Donald Trump wants to get to work as soon as he takes the oath of office.

The Left is already preparing for warfare.

And Trump’s Justice Department is headed for a showdown with left-wing activists in this must-win fight.

Democrat state attorneys general and left-wing activist groups tried to bog President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda down as much as possible in lawsuits during his first term.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed 434 lawsuits against the first Trump administration.

Lawsuits were filed in January 2017 against the administration before Trump took office.

The group filed multiple lawsuits designed to stop construction on the border wall and stop immigration law from being enforced during his first term.

A lawsuit from the ACLU successfully overturned Trump’s travel ban that restricted citizens from seven countries that are known terrorism hotbeds from entering the country for discrimination based on religion.

Now, the ACLU is looking to be a pain in the neck for the incoming Trump administration once again.

“As Trump returns to the White House, we’re ready to return to the courts and Congress to fight for our civil liberties,” the ACLU said after the election in November. “Starting on day one, we’re ready to fight for our civil liberties and civil rights in the courts, in Congress, and in our communities. We did it during his first term … and we’ll do it again.”

Center for Immigration Studies fellow Andrew Arthur – a former federal immigration judge – predicted it would be legal warfare once Trump took office.

“I anticipate that the ACLU will file challenges to anything that the second Trump administration does,” Arthur said. “I anticipate that there will be a variety of organizations and groups up to and including states that will attempt to push back … in this lawfare environment against every effort that the Trump administration makes to limit or to enforce the laws.”

Deportations will be an early flashpoint

Trump said at a campaign rally in Aurora, Colorado, that he would use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport violent illegal alien gangs like Tren de Aragua.

The ACLU claimed the law was “used to justify World War II-era internment of noncitizens, and now Donald Trump is threatening to invoke the law to target immigrant communities.”

Policies like “Remain in Mexico,” expanded detention facilities for illegal aliens, border wall construction, and deputizing state and local law enforcement to arrest illegal aliens will all almost certainly face lawsuits from the ACLU.

The Trump administration is expected to take the handcuffs off of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and allow them to apprehend illegal aliens outside of hospitals and churches.

Illegal aliens and left-wing activist groups used these protected spaces to prevent deportations.

These arrests could face potential legal challenges in court.

The ACLU, blue states, and left-wing activist groups are going to use the courtroom as a way to block any part of the Trump agenda they can.
