Donald Trump issues a series of executive orders on day one for border security
President Donald Trump got to work soon after he was sworn in on inauguration day.
He issued a series of executive orders to secure the border and help with the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
Trump’s “Border Czar” Tom Homan broke down the executive orders during an appearance on Fox Business.
Homan said that Trump ended the policy of catch and release where illegal aliens are set free into the country while they wait for their immigration hearings.
Trump shut down the CBP One app that former President Joe Biden was using to fast-track the processing of illegal aliens into the country.
Illegal aliens could use their smartphones to get waived into the country on phony asylum claims while they waited years for their cases to be heard.
Trump also designated the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
“The drug cartels of Mexico killed more Americans than every terrorist organization combined,” Homan said. “It’s going to be a game-changer for this administration. We’re going to secure the border at the highest level ever.”
Homan laid out the chaos left behind Biden that the Trump administration was left to clean up.
“The death of aliens across the border is at a historic high, over 4,000,” Homan explained. “We got over a quarter million Americans dead from fentanyl coming across that open border. We got a 600% increase in sex trafficking on women and children. We got a record number of people on the terrorist watchlist. There’s a 3,500% increase in the terrorist watchlist.”
The battle to secure the border is underway
The Biden border crisis was a stark contrast to Trump’s first term in office.
“When 90% less people are coming, how many women weren’t being sexually assaulted?” Homan asked. “How many women and children weren’t trafficking? How many Americans didn’t die because of border security? They didn’t die of fentanyl. Secure borders save lives.”
Homan noted that the media outside of Fox News ignored the porous southern border under Biden when he was asked about the coverage of the border crisis.
“Fox does, but most of the media does not. They’ve been covering the border crisis,” Homan stated. “Look, not once have they spoken up about this out-of-control border, but they’ll talk about the fentanyl deaths, but they won’t talk about what’s causing that. Fentanyl deaths are out of control. This has been a hidden story for four years.”
Trump took the handcuffs off Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents by lifting the policy that prevented them from apprehending illegal aliens at churches, schools, and hospitals.
Illegal aliens could retreat to these areas to avoid the authorities because they were off limits under Biden.
The Trump administration is hitting the ground running on securing the border and preparing for the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
