Familial DNA testing is returning under the Trump administration
President Joe Biden’s administration stopped the use of familial DNA testing at the southern border for illegal aliens.
DNA testing was used to stop child trafficking where an illegal alien could lie that the minor with them was a family member.
The policy was implemented during the first Trump administration and found that nearly one-third of adult illegal aliens weren’t related to the children with them.
Mexican drug cartels would create fake families to try to smuggle illegal aliens across the border.
President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming “Border Czar” Tom Homan told NewsNation that familial DNA testing would be returning to confirm family status when the administration took office.
Democrats hate the policy because it stops illegal immigration and child trafficking.
Republican strategist Whitley Yates and Democrat strategist Theryn Bond sparred over familial DNA testing during a segment on NewsNation Live.
“DNA testing in this particular context is an invasion of privacy, full stop,” Bond stated. “This is about getting everybody out that they want to get out. This is not about inclusion. This isn’t even about bad immigration policies.”
Bond suddenly became interested in how taxpayer money would be spent with a Republican in the White House.
“This is about President-elect Trump and Tom Homan and others who support these particular policies wanting to mass deport people at any particular cost,” Bond continued. “It doesn’t matter how much it’s going to cost the taxpayers. It doesn’t matter how much it’s going to cost people who are governed by red states. They don’t care. They are wanting to do this by any means necessary. And it’s extremely alarming.”

Yates noted that illegal immigration has come at a steep cost to taxpayers.
“I think this is interesting. It’s not an invasion of privacy as Theryn said, it’s really an invasion of this country that we need to be worried about,” Yates said. “And yes, it is going to take money, just like it took money to keep them here, to house them, to feed them, to provide them with all of the luxuries that American citizens are supposed to be getting.”
The cost of preventing illegal immigration is far cheaper than subsidizing it once they cross the southern border.
“So it is going to take Congress to make decisive decisions and create policies that allow for our sovereignty of this nation to be protected against undocumented immigrants and illegal immigration,” Yates added.
The Biden administration removed a common sense measure to keep children safe to keep the southern border wide open.
Illegal alien children were put into unspeakable situations because familial DNA testing was canceled.
Border security is returning when Donald Trump takes office.
