American culture has been radically changed by the Left over the past several decades.

One consequence is that religion has been squeezed out of public life.

But this football coach shared one message that had all Christians applauding.

Winning football coach praises God

The Boise State University Broncos are headed to the inaugural College Football 12-team playoff.

The winners of the four power conferences (SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12) get automatic bids to the playoffs.

Because Boise State plays in the Mountain West Conference, they were only guaranteed a spot if they were the top-ranked conference champion from one of the non-Power 4 conferences.

The 12-1 Broncos secured their spot with a 21-7 victory over the UNLV Rebels.

After the historic win, Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson made sure to thank God.

He told sideline reporter Allison Williams, “Thank you, Jesus. Jesus deserves all the glory. He died on the cross, but he rose again three days later. That’s the God I serve. Anything is possible.”

The Broncos have been led by star running back Ashton Jeanty, who was recently named as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Jeanty was also baptized recently.

Christianity under assault by the atheist Left

Atheist leftists have been on a mission to stamp out Christianity from public life.

Former high school football coach Joe Kennedy had to fight all the way to the Supreme Court simply for praying before and after games.

Kennedy’s story was turned into a movie called Average Joe.

Some on the Left have come to the realization that perhaps stamping out Christianity from the Western culture was not a good idea.

Famed New Atheist author Richard Dawkins decried the decay of Christian culture in his native country of England.

Dawkins lamented in an interview, “I call myself a cultural Christian. I’m not a believer, but there’s a distinction between being a believing Christian and being a cultural Christian. . .I love hymns and Christmas carols, and I sort of feel at home in the Christian ethos. . .We [in the U.K.] are a ‘Christian country’ in that sense.”

He also said that he was “horrified” to see mosques replacing churches in England and Islamic celebrations replacing Christian ones.

Dawkins added, “If I had to choose between Christianity and Islam, I’d choose Christianity every single time. It seems to me to be a fundamentally decent religion in a way that I think Islam is not.”

Dawkins and other atheists believe that they can remove Christianity without unwinding all of the aspects of society that they hold dear.

Surveys show that religiosity is on the decline in the United States.

It’s a good thing when people express their Christian faith and uphold Christian values in American society.

That has become increasingly rare in a society that has become overwhelmingly secular.

American culture is pushing people in that way.

But there are still believers, and they are not afraid to share their faith.
