Many leftists have become increasingly hostile.

They want beliefs they oppose completely excised from the public square.

But now pop star Gwen Stefani has shared one message that made leftists furious.

Stefani shares Christmas message

No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani has been a star in the music industry for 30 years.

She has also been a judge on the singing contest show The Voice.

However, Stefani’s latest endeavor has caused controversy for a ridiculous reason.

She recently promoted the Catholic prayer app Hallow, which set off a horde of screeching atheists.

Stefani wrote in a social media post, “I’m excited to partner with @hallowapp this Advent and Christmas on a beautiful series of prayer and music and to journey together this holiday season Hallow is doing a 25-day prayer challenge called Advent Pray25 Every day until Christmas, u can pray and meditate on God’s love and I’ll be sharing a reflection on my song, Christmas Eve and why this song means so much to me Join me every day in praying on Hallow.”

The “Don’t Speak” singer also shared a video message.

Stefani told fans, “Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It’s the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord. This year, I’m excited to share that I’ve partnered with this amazing prayer, meditation, and music app called Hallow. . .Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us his only son. . .God bless.”

Heat for expressing Christian beliefs

That message set off a torrent of backlash.

One social commenter wrote, “Who is this and what have you done with the real Gwen?!! This cannot be real. Not only she just makes music to match her husband’s but now she seems like such a Republican.”

In 2021, Stefani married country music singer Blake Shelton, who also serves as a judge on The Voice.

Another added, “I can’t believe this woman used to be really cool and make cool music.  This hurts my soul.”

Imagine being hurt by someone sharing a prayer app.

Another commenter went even further to condemn Stefani.

He wrote, “She’s been an ultra religious freak for her entire career but it was okay [because] her music was good enough… any surprise that after she marries a country artist her music got worse and her faith is being pushed on people way more.”

However, some fans defended Stefani.

One responded, “I really feel the need to defend her here! Gwen has always been open about her faith. She was raised Catholic and if anything her faith is part of why her and Blake fell for each other.”

Expressions of faith are often frowned upon in the entertainment industry.

During a 2020 interview with Joe Rogan, Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey revealed, “I have had moments where I was on stage receiving an award in front of my peers in Hollywood, and there were people in the crowd that I have prayed with before dinners many times, and when I thanked God, I saw some of those people go to clap, but then notice that, ‘bad thing on my résumé’ and then sit back on their hands.”

The reaction to Stefani’s message is proof that McConaughey was not lying.
