Gavin Newsom has been raked over the coals for his response to the Los Angeles wildfires.
It’s more than just his political career that he should be worried about.
And Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed the bad mistake Gavin Newsom made that could hand him in jail.
Marjorie Taylor Green argues that Gavin Newsom is criminally responsible for forest fires
The Los Angeles County, California wildfires are a failure of government at every level.
Multiple wildfires raging throughout the county have killed more than 20 people, caused more than $100 billion in damage, and forced over 100,000 people to evacuate.
The wildfires have become the biggest natural disaster in the history of Los Angeles.
Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom has been slammed for his response to the wildfires and his state’s utter lack of preparation.
Wildfires pose the biggest threat to the state of any natural disaster.
Newsom cut $100 million from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection wildfire prevention budget before the Los Angeles fires broke out.
If the state bothered to do something about the homeless encampments where many of Los Angeles’ fires trace to, and would allow private foresters to properly harvest dead lumber from the state’s wildlands that would likely be fine.
Even if they just kept enough water around, it might be okay.
But none of that has happened and the state has fallen further into chaos under Gavin Newsom’s watch.
The California Analyst’s Office – a nonpartisan legislative body that analyzes the economic impact of legislation – found that $101 million was cut from seven “wildfire and forest resilience” programs.
Representative Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) suggested that Newsom’s actions could be criminally negligent.
“Governor Newson may be criminally responsible for these California wildfires,” Greene wrote on X. “As governor, Newsom has literally dismantled every responsible way to combat these devastating deadly wildfires. California, you need to choose new leadership and hold your current leaders accountable.”
Newsom and California were quick to pass the buck by blaming climate change to absolve them of their litany of errors.
Donald Trump hammers Gavin Newsom for failure to prepare
California is experiencing manmade shortages of water from the state’s bonkers environmental policies.
President-elect Donald Trump blasted Newsom for prioritizing a small fish over the people of California in a post on Truth Social.
“Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way,” Trump wrote. “He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt, by giving it less water (it didn’t work!), but didn’t care about the people of California. Now the ultimate price is being paid.”
Trump signed a Presidential memorandum to send water to farmers that is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean to protect the three-inch Delta Smelt.
California successfully challenged Trump’s memorandum in court.
The state also lets runoff from the melting snow from the mountains and rain run into the Pacific without trying to collect.
Firefighters ran out of water trying to fight the blazes in Los Angeles.
A 117 million-gallon water reservoir in the Pacific Palisades suburb was empty when the wildfires broke out.
Gavin Newsom’s awful planning for and response to the Los Angeles wildfire season should be the end of his political career.
