Why there was no primary
Going into the first Presidential debate, Joe Biden was consistently trailing Donald Trump.
Biden thought he could turn things around with a strong debate performance.
Instead, Biden turned in the worst showing in Presidential debate history.
Biden struggled even to finish sentences without trailing off.
It was so bad that Democrats could no longer pretend that he was “sharp as a tack” behind closed doors.
Democrat Party bosses urged Biden to drop out of the race, but he refused.
After a month-long pressure campaign, Biden finally relented and handed over the keys to Vice President Kamala Harris.
And Harris getting anointed the Presidential nominee without a primary process angered many on the Left.
Quentin Fulks, Principal Deputy Campaign Manager for both Biden and Kamala’s 2024 campaigns, has revealed during a panel discussion that the Democrat Party could not hold an actual primary because it would have upset the core constituency: black women.
Fulks explained, “We had 107 days, and I know people don’t like that time frame, that number. But to open up a Democratic primary, you would have had black women—who were the strongest voting bloc for Kamala Harris—be highly upset if it was not Kamala Harris. You would’ve had someone start with zero infrastructure. I hear your concern and I am not saying that primaries are not important.”

Catering to core voters
Of all voting demographics, black women are the most loyal group.
They voted for Harris at a 92% rate, higher than any other subset.
Democrats do not want to upset black women because they rely on their support, not just at the ballot box, but culturally.
The handoff from Biden to Harris did not go smoothly at all.
Biden was furious at being forced to give up his chance at the Presidency.
California Governor Gavin Newsom – a political rival of Harris’ – joked about “the switch” during an interview with the Obama bros on Pod Save America.
Co-host Jon Favreau asked Newsom, “How are you feeling about the switch?”
They all began laughing.
“The switch,” said Newsom. He continued in a fake-serious tone, “Now we went through a very open process, a very inclusive process. It was bottom-up. I don’t know if you know that. That’s what I’ve been told to say.”
Favreau quipped, “It was a blitz primary, I believe that’s what they called it.”
“A 30-minute convention between. . .a tweet and another tweet,” Newsom added.

Everybody knows the process was rotten.
But the Democrats were so desperate to get rid of Biden that they beclowned themselves and bypassed any sort of primary.
According to a report from POLITICO, Harris is potentially eyeing another run in 2028.
However, there is absolutely zero appetite for that among Democrat voters.
They are aching for someone new.
