Joe Biden is almost gone from Washington, D.C.
But one of his final acts surprised many.
And Joe Biden’s latest move has Americans demanding even more action.
Joe Biden just took action on data broking, but many Americans worry it is too little too late
Today’s world relies heavily on digital services and the internet.
When these services do not operate correctly, it causes society to come to stop in its tracks.
Just look at what happened in July of 2024 when an error from software security company Crowd Strike caused millions of computers to malfunction, delaying flights and cancelling doctors’ appointments.
Digital data has become more valuable than gold, given America’s heavy reliance on digital technology.
Companies and other entities – including the federal government – regularly shell out eye-popping sums to get their hands on user data, which they use to target potential customers or victims.
The Joe Biden administration recently finalized some regulations to supposedly keep a lid on this practice when it comes to selling data to nations like China, Iran, and Russia.
Assistant Attorney General for national security Matthew Olsen addressed these moves, telling the press, “This powerful new national-security program is designed to ensure that Americans’ personal data is no longer permitted to be sold to hostile foreign powers, whether through outright purchase or other means of commercial access.”
Of course, many Americans are more worried about the U.S. federal government’s purchase and use of their user data in recent years.

Biden’s regulatory move fails to address the massive amount of data sales that occurs within the United States and between the government and many monopolistic Big Tech and communications companies.
As it stands, U.S. citizens lack formal protections when it comes to their internet user data being sold, which includes financial data, biometric data, and other intimate details about their lives.
Our Weaponization Committee discovered private banks and the FBI have been collecting and sharing customer purchase data without a warrant.
Today, I heard from witnesses, including @jordanbpeterson, about why this is unconstitutional and unwise.

In March of 2023, just a month before he was fired by Fox News, Tucker Carlson noted that the TikTok ban that had then just been introduced in Congress – and which ultimately passed and will soon go into effect – was really about making America more like China.
A month later Tucker was fired.
Carlson later noted Americans should be more concerned about a government which has jurisdiction over you going through your data than you should about a foreign one which has no power over you.
It’s only been set to get worse.
Our Founding Fathers wouldn’t tolerate a mere tax on tea, something they considered government overreach. Yet today, American citizens are tolerating a deep violation of their privacy through new tech like face-identifying drones, an obvious form of government overreach.

However, with Donald Trump returning to office in a matter of weeks, Americans remain hopeful that major changes could come in the near future when it comes to their digital data.
Major changes could be coming
Under Barack Obama’s watch, the federal government expanded rapidly in size.
Joe Biden similarly expanded the size of scope of the federal government, weaponizing it to attack Americans who dared to defy his radical regime.
Meanwhile, Americans constantly come under threat of having the most intimate details of their life being shared with hostile forces in America and other so-called “allied nations.”
Many Americans hope that the incoming Donald Trump administration will undo some of the damage of the Biden administration, putting the interests of all Americans first, rather than using his power to attack anybody who disagrees with him.
