In one month, Joe Biden will leave office after serving one term as one of America’s most unpopular Presidents.

The Biden White House is in a scramble to dig in and hobble the incoming administration.

But Joe Biden let out a sigh as this Senator vowed to destroy his biggest lasting legacy.

Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri just put his foot down as Joe Biden prepares to leave office

On Election Day, the American public sent a powerful message to Washington, D.C. after handing Donald Trump a decisive victory.

Not only did Donald Trump sweep all of the major seven swing states, but he also defied expectations by winning the popular vote.

Donald Trump’s decisive victory has sent leftists into a tailspin, with the outgoing Biden-Harris administration scrambling to preserve their beloved institutions and their legacy.

While in office, Joe Biden sported some of the lowest approval ratings of any sitting President in modern American history, and experts have pointed towards the administration’s overreach as a top reason for these low approval ratings.

For example, the Biden-Harris regime used their authority to illegally silence Americans online, working with outside companies to censor anybody who dared to step in their path.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted to participating in such practices earlier this year in a letter to Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), saying that his companies worked directly with the White House to censor Americans.

In an attempt to put an end to such dubious practices, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) introduced a bill that would force federal watchdogs to identify any federal programs designed to work with outside companies to target Americans for censorship.

After identifying these programs, Schmitt’s legislation would require the watchdogs to report their findings to Congress.

Senator Schmitt released a statement on the matter, telling Americans, “Let me make it clear, the incoming Republican Congress cannot allow deep-state bureaucrats to continue censoring the free speech of our constituents any longer.”

“We must continue to expose the full extent of the Biden administration’s censorship schemes against the American people.  We will find the bureaucratic rot and we will rip it out,” the lawmaker from Missouri added.

Many Americans fear that the federal government has gotten too big for its britches

As Senator Eric Schmitt noted in his statement last week, the Biden-Harris regime has wasted massive amounts of taxpayer dollars to punish Americans over the last four years by circumventing their First Amendment rights.

On Election Day, American voters flatly rejected the Biden-Harris regime and these sorts of flat-out unconstitutional programs.

Although Eric Schmitt’s recently proposed bill would help to rid the federal government of the damaging Biden-era programs that limited the rights of Americans, a full audit of the federal government will need to occur to identify and ultimately eliminate every censorship program that exists in the bloated federal government.
