The results of the 2024 election prove that many Americans have turned their backs on the mainstream media.
Many voters now choose to listen to their preferred podcast or social media figures rather than tune into CNN or any of the network news channels.
And, Donald Trump sent the mainstream media into an uproar after announcing this one major policy move.
The incoming administration has already laid out its plans to divest from this dubious priority of the Biden-Harris White House
On election night, it became clear that Donald Trump not only secured an Electoral College landslide, but also defied expectations after winning the popular vote.
Exit polls showed that the sanctity of democracy ranked among the top concerns of voters.
However, the majority of these voters concerned about democracy cast their vote for Donald Trump.
The mainstream media has attempted to make sense of these findings; however, a nice long look in the mirror might help them.
Many political experts agree that the crusade to stop and prevent so-called ”misinformation” backfired tremendously on Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media.
For the past four years, the Biden-Harris White House dumped shocking amounts of taxpayer funds to work with social media companies and other media outlets to identify and destroy pieces of news deemed as ”misinformation.”
Time and time again this so-called “misinformation” was nothing more than opinions, and at times irrefutable facts, that oppose their radical agenda.
Already, Donald Trump and his transition team have outlined their plan to eliminate the so-called “misinformation prevention” programs in the federal government.
For example, Donald Trump has tapped Vivek Ramaswamy and tech mogul mobile Elon Musk to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE for short).
This Department is tasked with slashing billions of dollars of federal government waste, yet many leftists and their media allies are panicking.
Just last week, for example, NBC News published a frenzied article, fearing that Elon Musk would use his new power to criminally prosecute individuals who have unfairly abused their power to silence people online.
These concerns stem from comments Musk made earlier in the year, where he said that he hopes lawmakers consider measures that would punish people involved in advertiser boycotts for services such as his own X.
After all, powerful entities with ties to the federal government have effectively attempted to sensor platforms like X by withholding advertising revenue that they require to stay afloat.
In NBC News’ recent article, Aaron Terr, director of public advocacy at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression stated, “Musk’s actions over the past few years call into question his stated commitment to free speech.”
Terr then stated, “Any disputes Musk has with his critics should play out in the court of public opinion, not a court of law,”
These statements from Aaron Terr represent a desperate attempt from the left to spin the issue of free speech on its head, attacking Elon Musk and other free speech advocates for attempting to crack down on so-called “misinformation prevention.”
Major changes are coming to the general government whether NBC News likes it or not
This election cycle, the American people sent a powerful mandate to Washington.
Americans are simply fed up with wasting their taxpayer dollars on initiatives and programs designed to limit their individual liberties.
In the coming year, the Donald Trump administration is expected to take a number of steps designed to slim down the role of the federal government, especially when dealing with matters like free speech.
