Donald Trump delivered on his campaign promise to bring on board Elon Musk to run the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Thus far, DOGE has uncovered mountains of waste, fraud, and abuse.
But more importantly, DOGE has pulled back the curtain on how Permanent Washington works.
Democrats have been using federal taxpayer dollars as a patronage system for their over-educated comrades to get jobs.
Leftists with arcane college degrees who would otherwise be unemployable are getting shuffled around from one patronage job to another through funding mechanisms such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Democrats and their media allies have attempted to portray USAID as simply funding humanitarian efforts around the globe, but it’s far more sinister than that.
USAID is an extension of the foreign policy establishment, but it also operates within the United States.
Independent journalist Andy Ngo uncovered a radical communist who was a USAID employee.
Ngo reported, “A former USAID-funded employee whose job was cut when DOGE audited government waste is revealed to be a far-left activist. Erica Gibson (‘she/her’) took to X to lament how she now feels ‘psychologically unwell’ and has no future job prospects. Gibson previously posted photos from luxurious trips overseas with her job position. She most recently worked at DAI, a USAID-funded consulting company.”
Gibson wrote on social media, “I feel so psychologically unwell three weeks ago I was getting a raise and going to Columbia and now I’m unemployed with zero job prospects because apartheid Clyde and his army of YouTube educated 19 year olds eliminated my entire field.”

USAID’s dirty laundry being aired out
This is why Democrats are so furious at Musk.
He is exposing their grift, and Trump is turning off the money faucet.
Gibson added, “I have no idea what to do with myself and whenever I start wallowing in self-pity I remember that I have it easy compared to the children all over the world who no longer have access to life-saving medicine.”
Gibson is again pushing the bogus talking point that kids in Africa will starve without USAID.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio summed up USAID when he recently told a gaggle of reporters, “When we were in Congress, we couldn’t even get answers to basic questions about programs. We would ask them questions. ‘What is this program fund? Who gets the money?’ ‘We won’t tell you. We don’t need to tell you. We’re apolitical’. . .If someone wants to spend apolitical dollars, they should spend private dollars. Go start a charity, and you can fund anyone you want. But if you’re going to spend taxpayer money, then you need to spend it in furtherance of the national interest of the United States.”
Trump and Musk are starving left-wing activists of taxpayer dollars.
Now they might actually have to produce something of value.
