The legacy media’s ratings have been in freefall since the election.

Journalists are hoping the incoming Trump administration changes their fortunes.

And Donald Trump dropped one scary fact that left Rachel Maddow in the depths of despair.

The media is bleeding out after the election

The biggest loser of the 2024 Election besides Vice President Kamala Harris was the media.

President-elect Donald Trump was relentlessly attacked in the legacy media while Kamala was showered with praise.

The legacy media didn’t move the needle in the election after Trump had the biggest victory for a Republican since 1988.

Ratings for outlets like CNN and MSNBC have collapsed after the election while papers like The Washington Post are hemorrhaging subscribers.

Trump was interviewed by conservative talk radio show Hugh Hewitt where he was asked about the state of the media.

Hewitt noted that ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos settled a defamation case for $15 million with him with the money going toward a future Presidential library.

“I hope that goes to build the fake news wing in the Trump library. Bigger question. Do you think legacy media is bleeding out in real time before us?” Hewitt asked.

“I do,” Trump replied. “I think they’re not taken so seriously.”

Trump said the media opposed for the last four years with a level of bias not seen before.

“They were opposed to me at levels never seen before where Biden would get good stories, and the guy couldn’t walk down a hallway,” Trump said. “And I did something great, and they try to make it as bad as possible.”

Trump’s Presidency may be the end of the legacy media

Trump pointed out that almost the entire legacy media was lined up against him in the election.

“So every, almost every one of them, I mean, we had some support, but for the most part, every one of them,” Trump stated. “And I won. It’s almost impossible.”

He said that he was told he couldn’t win without Google and Facebook but that the media was irrelevant.

“Wow about ABC and CBS and NBC and CNN. And you know, Fox gives me a little trouble, too, even, I must say,” Trump declared. And then you have MSNBC. I was opposed at levels never seen before, and I won in a landslide. Well, what does that tell you about the media?”

Hewitt said the media was out of touch and bleeding out after the election.

Trump wished the media would turn it around and learn to be fair.

“Mr. President, they’re, they can’t reform themselves. They’re full of left-wing Trump haters. How are they going to change?” Hewitt asked.

“Yeah, well, they go out of business, and they come back in a different form, is probably the way,” Trump responded.

“Well, that’s our New Year wish,” Hewitt said.

The media has become the public relations arm of the Democrat Party and now they’re paying a price for their bias.

Donald Trump’s second term could result in big changes to the legacy media as their influence and ratings decline.
