On Election Day, the American public handed Donald Trump a decisive victory, rejecting years of attacks from his enemies.
And Donald Trump couldn’t hold in his laughter as this late-night host skewered the Left.
Jon Stewart just unleashed on Democrats for this extreme talking point
After announcing his intentions to run for President in 2015, the radical Left and Washington establishment declared Donald Trump public enemy number one.
Ever since, the mainstream media, a slew of politicians, and some notable celebrities have attacked Donald Trump with every vicious name in the book.
Donald Trump’s enemies often like to call him a “fascist,” comparing him to some of history’s most ruthless dictators.
However, this slanderous strategy failed to resonate with voters, with Donald Trump winning all seven of the major swing states and the popular vote on Election Day.
Just the other day, late-night host Jon Stewart of The Daily Show chimed in on the Left’s failure to convince the American public that Donald Trump is a “fascist.”
He started with his usual attacks on Donald Trump, stating that he believes that Donald Trump will likely take actions that he deemed as “fascist-y.”
However, he then noted, “We must be vigilant. But part of vigilance is discernment. Republicans control the House, the Senate, the executive, and the judiciary. And just about every move that has been made, till this point, we have granted them electorally. It’s our f*cking fault.”
Jon Stewart then told his viewers that he believes Democrat leaders should ask themselves, “What are you learning from this? How would you use this power? What is your contract with America?”
“Democrats – exist outside of him,” Stewart commanded. “Tell people what you would do with the power that Trump is wielding, and then convince us to give that power to you as soon as possible!”
“That is the goal,” the late-night host concluded.
These remarks from Jon Stewart offer a glimpse at the turmoil that has enveloped the Left.
As it stands, Democrats do not have an obvious leader, causing many on the left to turn on each other.
Some believe that they should try harder to appeal to the voters who shifted into Donald Trump’s camp in 2024.
Others believe that Democrats should push forward with their divisive “woke” agenda.
Democrats do not know where to turn as Trump begins his second term
The Left and so-called center-right’s attempts to bash Donald Trump have not worked, as evidenced by his 2024 election victory last year.
If Donald Trump’s enemies hope to make any gains moving forward, then they will likely need to rethink their strategy.
As Jon Stewart noted on air, calling Donald Trump a fascist for the last ten years has not worked for Democrats.
Nonetheless, many on the left will likely continue to insult Donald Trump and his supporters, refusing to learn any lessons from their failures.
