Nothing is off the table for Donald Trump in his second term.

He’s caught the Washington, D.C., Swamp off guard with his fast start.

And Donald Trump announced one surprise military order that sent Democrats into a frenzy.

Donald Trump issues an order to send illegal aliens to Guantánamo Bay

President Donald Trump is off to the races on his plan for the mass deportation of illegal aliens.

One of the challenges that the administration has run into so far is dealing with uncooperative countries that don’t want to take their citizens back.

Colombia refused to take a military plan filled with illegal aliens who were deported but backed down after Trump threatened to hammer the country with tariffs and harsh penalties.

Honduras and other countries have bristled at the possibility of having to take back criminals deported from the United States.

There are about a dozen countries around the world including Venezuela that refuse to receive their citizens who’ve been deported.

Trump announced at the signing ceremony for the Laken Riley Act he signed a memorandum to prepare the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base to house up to 30,000 illegal aliens.

He said the base would “detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people.”

The Departments of Defense and Homeland Security are preparing to house this influx of illegal aliens.

“Some of them are so bad we don’t even trust the countries to hold them,” Trump stated. “We don’t want them coming back so we’re going to send them out to Guantánamo. This is going to double our capacity immediately.”

Guantánamo Bay will be a temporary detention facility

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said after the ceremony that work was already underway at Guantánamo Bay to house the illegal aliens.

The naval base was home to the prison that held many of the worst Al Qaeda terrorists captured during the Global War on Terror.

Only 15 prisoners held for terrorism remain at Guantánamo Bay, after former Presidents, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, refused to bring charges against the hundreds of terrorists who they’d long kept imprisoned but never charged.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth called the naval base the “perfect spot” to detain illegal aliens before they’re sent to their final destination during an appearance on Fox News.

Prior to Obama and Biden open borders policies, Democrat Presidents housed immigration detainees at Guantánamo

“Guantánamo Bay, Jesse, is a perfect spot,” Hegseth said. “We don’t want illegal criminals in the United States any— not a minute longer than they have to be. Move them off to Guantánamo Bay, where they can be safely maintained until they are deported to their final location, their country of origin, where they are headed.”

Hegseth noted that Guantánamo Bay had been used in the past to house illegal aliens.

Former President Bill Clinton used the base to house Haitians and Cubans who were trying to make it to the United States.

Biden considered using Guantánamo Bay as a place to house Haitian refugees last year if the country’s government collapsed and created a mass migration event.

Having enough beds to house illegal aliens while they’re waiting to be deported is one of the biggest challenges of Trump’s effort.

Guantánamo Bay will provide a major boost in detaining illegal aliens as they wait to be deported.
