Clint Eastwood is a legend in Hollywood.
However, the 94-year-old acting icon doesn’t really fit in with all the woke radicals running Tinseltown.
And now Eastwood has a lot to brag about after proving these Hollywood executives dead wrong.
Warner Bros stabs Clint Eastwood in the back
Clint Eastwood has been putting butts in cinema seats since the mid-1950s.
And most of his most memorable movies were distributed by Warner Bros Pictures.
American Sniper, Gran Torino, and Unforgiven – all Eastwood movies made by the Warner Bros studio.
However, now that Eastwood’s illustrious career seems to be at an end, Warner Bros has stabbed their star in the back.
Juror #2 is rumored to possibly be Eastwood’s final project.
And it only came with a reported $34 million budget.
But instead of putting the marketing team behind Juror #2, Warner Bros largely ignored it.
They were late to publish the trailer — and only issued a short-lived and limited theatrical release in cinemas.
The reason for this betrayal is up for speculation.
Politics or money?
Hollywood in Toto Editor Christian Toto has speculated the surprising treatment could be retaliation for Eastwood’s politics.
And the far-left The Telegraph agrees with Toto – as they opined in an article titled, “Why Hollywood liberals are punishing Clint Eastwood for his politics.”
“In a town where to be a Democrat is practically de rigueur, Eastwood’s liberal Republicanism – he has described himself as a social liberal and a fiscal conservative – has marked him out as somehow problematic,” the article reads.
The Telegraph went on to suggest that, perhaps, new Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav wasn’t a fan of Eastwood’s 2012 Republican National Convention speech criticizing then-President Barack Obama.
But others believe it was a vendetta driven by dollars and cents.
The Vulture reported Zaslav and his team lost faith in Eastwood after Cry Macho only grossed $16.5 million against a $33 million production budget – not accounting for the fact that the movie was released during the heart of the COVID pandemic.
Juror #2 dominating Max
But no matter the reason for the knife in the back, just like one of his characters would do, Eastwood has pulled it out and is now wielding it against his friend-turned-foe.
World of Reel is reporting that Juror #2 has been the most streamed movie on Warner Bros Max streaming service every single day since it was first added to the streaming platform.
That’s a long run at the top of a streaming service, Juror #2 was added to Max on December 20.
“Absolutely nobody is shocked that Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2 has been #1 on Max since the very first day it was made available to stream,” World of Reel’s Jordan Ruimy wrote. “It’s as if there was an actual audience for this movie, but one that was sadly unexplored due to Warner Bros dumping it in just a handful of theatres.”
Ruimy is right, Eastwood’s potentially final film isn’t just a hit on streaming.
It performed extraordinarily well at the box office given the limited nature of its release.
“I just liked it,… It’s one of the better stories that’s come along”

Deadline reported Eastwood’s latest movie hauled in about $275,000 over its three-day debut weekend.
And those numbers are from only 35 reporting theaters.
Juror #2 made more than $1,000 more in per-screen average than the big-budget for Venom: The Last Dance, which hit theaters at the same time.
Furthermore, both critics and audiences are loving the motion picture.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, critics rate Juror #2 as 92% fresh, and it has a 91% popcorn score from audiences.
