The Washington, D.C. Swamp is in panic mode.
Donald Trump is back in the White House.
And an enemy within Donald Trump’s White House just had his worst nightmares become reality.
Trump hammers bad actor from his first term
Donald Trump seems to have learned his lesson after Permanent Washington undermined his first administration.
The first two years of his Presidency were hamstrung by the bogus Russiagate investigation, which was orchestrated by Hillary Clinton and the Deep State.
Trump has been much more shrewd about the people surrounding him in a second administration.
One person who certainly was not invited back was former National Security Adviser John Bolton.
Bolton and other members of the foreign policy establishment had their security clearances revoked.
That means that they cannot legally possess certain classified documents.
Retired intelligence officials often use their security clearances to cash in with private sector employers, and get cushy analyst gigs with the media.
But Trump put a stop to rubber-stamping security clearances.
He started by revoking the privileges of the 51 former senior intelligence agents who signed onto the ridiculous letter claiming that the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” story was Russian disinformation.
During a recent press event, a reporter asked Trump, “Why did you remove John Bolton’s security clearance, sir?”
Trump did not hold back his distaste for Bolton.
He answered, “Because I think that was enough time. . .You take a job. You want to do a job. We’re not going to have security on people for the rest of their lives. Why should we? I thought he was a very dumb person, but I used him well because every time people saw me come into a meeting with John Bolton standing behind me, they thought that he’d attack them because he was a warmonger.”
Trump called out John Bolton’s warmongering
Bolton is notorious for his thirst for endless wars.
Trump continued, “He’s the one that got us involved, along with Cheney and a couple of others, convinced Bush, which was a terrible decision, to blow up the Middle East, you know? We blew up the Middle East, and we left.”
The GOP establishment first turned on Trump during the 2016 South Carolina Republican Primary.
On the debate stage, Trump pointed to Jeb Bush and said that his brother led America into the Iraq War.
Trump has been hated by that cohort of Never-Trumpers ever since then.
Trump concluded, “We got nothing out of it except a lot of death. We killed a lot of people, and John Bolton was, you know, one of those guys, a stupid guy.”

Bolton has been going on legacy media outlets and denigrating all of Trump’s cabinet picks, so it’s no wonder that Trump hit back at him.
For instance, Bolton said of Director of National Intelligence nominee Tulsi Gabbard, “Well, I think that Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination to be Director of National Intelligence, when I first heard that today, my immediate reaction was hilarious. She’s totally not competent for that job. [Matt] Gaetz is the worst, she may be tracking in at the second worst. Haven’t had a lot of time to do research on the Tulsi Gabbard nomination.”
So he didn’t “do research” on Gabbard, yet still slammed her as the second-worst cabinet nomination in history.
Bolton and the others in the foreign policy establishment cabal refuse to let any outsiders into the club.
