Much of the “woke” insanity that has spread in recent years comes straight from America’s universities.
Radical professors won’t continue to get away with it forever.
But all hell broke loose as this GOP lawmaker humiliated a Stanford professor in one massive court case.
This “misinformation expert” was just busted for doing the unthinkable on the taxpayer’s dime
In order to gain power and hold on to power, leftists across the Western world have dumped massive sums to delegitimize everything their opponents say.
These efforts often fall under the guise of “misinformation prevention” which seeks to identify and silence anybody who voices their opposition to the “woke” agenda of the radical left.
During the pandemic for example, state agencies worked closely with social media companies to silence any opposition to stringent lock-down measures and any opposition to the vaccines and vaccine mandates.
The pursuit to prevent so-called “misinformation” has expanded well beyond medical topics, with leftists now focusing on other issues such as election information and climate science.
Jeff Hancock of Stanford University, a communications professor and so-called “misinformation” expert, has emerged as a leader in the field of so-called “misinformation” research.
However, Hancock now faces allegations of using artificial intelligence technology to draft a declaration used in a Minnesota court case.
The case in question stems from a 2023 Minnesota law, which allegedly seeks to prevent the use of deep fakes for the purpose of influencing elections.
Republican Minnesota State Representative Mary Franson and social media satirist Christopher Kohls have sued the state of Minnesota regarding this law, claiming that it violates the First Amendment’s freedom of speech protections.
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison asked Jeff Hancock to draft a declaration detailing the use of deep fakes, hoping that it would help the state’s case.
Ellison paid Hancock a whopping $600 an hour of taxpayer funds to produce this declaration under threat of perjury.
However, it appears that Hancock used an AI service to write the document after it was revealed that two of his sources do not seem to exist at all.
A closer inspection reveals other characteristics that lead some to believe he used artificial intelligence to create this declaration.
Frank Berdnarz, who serves as an attorney for Franson and Kohls, claimed that, “The citation bears the hallmarks of being an artificial intelligence (AI) ‘hallucination,’ suggesting that at least the citation was generated by a large language model like ChatGPT.”
“The existence of a fictional citation Hancock (or his assistants) didn’t even bother to click calls into question the quality and veracity of the entire declaration,” Berdnarz added in his statement.
Jeff Hancock has some explaining to do after his apparent use of AI to create an important legal document
As attorney Frank Berdnarz noted, it appears that Jeff Hancock used artificial intelligence to draft an important, and costly, declaration used in Minnesota’s defense.
If true, then Jeff Hancock could face significant legal and professional blowback for these actions.
It also undermines Hancock’s pursuit to stop “misinformation,” given that this so-called “misinformation” expert has essentially lied and cheated in order to quickly produce a legal document at taxpayer expense.
