Donald Trump’s political movement completely reshaped American politics.
The terrified establishment is taking drastic measures to derail him.
But now a top Senator has just dropped the hammer on this awful plot to sabotage Donald Trump.
American internet users are keeping their guard up even as Congress halts funding for this sinister program
Every day, the United States federal government dumps billions of taxpayer dollars into programs and initiatives that provide no measurable benefit for taxpayers.
Not only has such out-of-control spending resulted in crippling inflation, but this spending has also made the federal government bigger and more powerful than ever before.
In recent years, the Biden-Harris regime has fueled a number of programs specifically designed to censor Americans online, especially Donald Trump and his millions of supporters.
The Global Engagement Center (GEC) for example, which operates under the United States State Department, has come under fire for working with a long list of public and private entities to identify and silence news sources and internet users from spreading anything that it deems as so-called “misinformation” or “disinformation.”
Essentially, they’ve worked to infringe upon the First Amendment rights of those who get in the way of the global establishment’s agenda.
Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) recently stated the awful truth about the GEC.
“[The GEC] is an entity that is funded to censor conservatives,” and that “we should not be doing any of this stuff,” Schmitt declared.
However, the GEC has been shuttered, temporarily at least.
As Unmuzzled News wrote in early December, the State Department had notified Congress prior to the recent Government shutdown funding battle that it was closing the GEC.
However, State Department officials stated that they planned to move its funding to “other bureaus aimed at fighting foreign disinformation.”
Unmuzzled News exposed the game at the time, writing:
At first glance this may seem like a victory for the First Amendment, but upon further inspection, this move simply disperses the GEC’s authority and funding to other federal bureaus rather than eliminating it altogether.
Although the GEC will soon be a relic of the past, Congress will need to completely strip its funding if it hopes to put an end to its programs and influence.
Of course, it was clearly a ruse.
Worse, the initial bill that embattled House Speaker Mike Johnson (RINO-LA) tried to sneak through to stave off a government shutdown before Christmas included funding for the censorship operations.
Ultimately, Congress listened to the urging of Unmuzzled News readers and other conservatives and stripped the funding from the final deal.
However, the continuing resolution only keeps the federal government funded until March – meaning it’s far from over.
Although the GEC is seemingly shuttered for now, conservatives must remain vigilant since it’s unclear and highly unlikely all those “other bureaus aimed at fighting foreign disinformation” were de-funded, or will remain that way after the new Congress returns to hash out the long-term government funding bills.
After all, federal bureaucrats and their establishment politician pals love to intentionally hide funding for the federal government’s various agencies and projects they’d like to keep hidden from public eyes.
Donald Trump will have his hands full when he takes back power in just a few weeks
In just a few weeks, Donald Trump will take the Oath of Office, officially beginning his second term as President of the United States.
Although the President wields immense authority about the goings on of the executive branch, the President must still work with Congress to fund or defund various programs.
And with both Houses of Congress narrowly divided, this will most likely not be an easy process.
