Donald Trump is determined to clean up the weaponized FBI.
He sent shockwaves through the Washington, D.C., Swamp with his nominee.
And a top Republican dropped one fact about Trump FBI nominee Kash Patel the media is afraid to speak.
Ted Cruz praises Kash Patel as a great choice for FBI director
President-elect Donald Trump’s first term in office was undermined by the FBI waging war against him with the Russian collusion hoax.
He’s not going to let that happen again.
Trump nominated his former Defense Department official Kash Patel to serve as the FBI director.
Patel helped expose the Russian collusion hoax with his work on the House Intelligence Committee in 2018 under former chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA).
Democrats and their media allies are in a state of panic about Patel’s nomination.
He’s willing to roll up his sleeves and do the hard work of bringing the politicization of the FBI to an end.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) called Patel a “strong nominee” for FBI director during an appearance on CBS’ Face the Nation.
“I think Kash Patel is a very strong nominee,” Cruz said. “I think the entire slate of Cabinet nominees President Trump has put forward is very strong.”
Patel and some of Trump’s cabinet nominees like Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard are facing potential resistance from establishment Republicans in the Senate.
Cruz predicted that Trump would get his nominees confirmed.
“I believe every one of these Cabinet nominees is going to be confirmed by the Senate,” Cruz stated. “I think Kash Patel is going to be confirmed by the Senate.”
The reaction to Kash Patel proves he’s the right man for the job
Patel has faced bogus attacks from the Left that he’s unqualified to lead the FBI.
Cruz set the record straight about his qualifications.
“You look at his background, he has a serious professional background,” Cruz explained. “He was a prosecutor. He was a public defender. He was a senior intelligence staffer on Capitol Hill. He was a senior intelligence staffer in the White House. He was the chief of staff of the Department of Defense. He was the deputy director of national intelligence.”
The Texas lawmaker said the backlash to Patel’s nomination was from forces who want to keep the status quo at the FBI.
“I gotta say, all of the weeping and gnashing of teeth, people pulling their hair out, are the people dismayed about having a real reformer come into the FBI and clean out the corrupted partisans who sadly have burrowed into senior career positions at the FBI,” Cruz said.
He slammed former FBI Director James Comey and FBI Director Christopher Wray for allowing the bureau to be weaponized.
“Listen, if you look at James Comey and Chris Wray, there has never been a period in our nation’s history where the FBI has suffered a greater loss of respect, where more Americans doubt the fundamental integrity of the FBI,” Cruz explained. “And it’s because James Comey and Chris Wray presided over allowing the FBI to become a partisan cudgel, to be used to target parents at school board meetings, to be used to target people who chose not to take the COVID vaccine, to be used to target President Trump and to target the political opponents of Joe Biden and the White House. It is tragic — that is not what the FBI is for.”
Kash Patel is an opportunity to bring someone from the outside into the FBI who’s ready to clean house.
