Entertainment celebrities often get treated like deities.

But they’re just people like everyone else.

And one rock legend just did something more epic than his entire career.

Bon Jovi saves a life

Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi has secured his place in the rock and roll pantheon.

His band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

However, the rocker did something that just eclipsed his entire career.

Bon Jovi talked a distraught woman out of jumping off a bridge in Nashville.

Fox News Digital reported that “Jon Bon Jovi was in the right place at the right time on Tuesday when he helped coax a woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee. The ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ singer happened to be filming a music video on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge when he saw a woman in a ‘moment of crisis’. . .”

Metro Nashville Police Department officials wrote on social media, “A shout out to [Jon Bon Jovi] & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night. . .Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.”

Chief John Drake added, “It takes all of us to help keep each other safe.”

Fox News Digital added that “Bon Jovi is no stranger to helping others. He created the JBJ Soul Foundation in 2006, with the goal to ‘recognize and maximize the human potential in those affected by hunger, poverty and homelessness by offering assistance in establishing programs that provide food and affordable housing while supporting social services and job training programs.’ What began as a small endeavor in Philadelphia has since expanded into 12 states, serving thousands of people, including youth and veterans, according to the nonprofit.”

Family matters

Despite being a rock star for decades, Bon Jovi has been married for 35 years.

During an ABC interview, he credited his wife Dorothea for being the ballast for the family.

Bon Jovi said, “There is no doubt in my mind that this world revolves because of her. . .Because of what she did to keep the kids right, what she does to keep me right, what we do together to keep it right. No doubt about it. . .She’s certainly not afraid to call me out on something. . .but she’s also there when I fall. And I’m there for her when she falls. No matter where I went in my career, the ups or the downs, we went there together.”

He and his wife grew up together in the same town in New Jersey.

He added, “She’s certainly not afraid to call me out on something. . .but she’s also there when I fall. And I’m there for her when she falls. No matter where I went in my career, the ups or the downs, we went there together.”

In addition to his lengthy music career, Bon Jovi has also dabbled in acting, appearing in the submarine action film U-571 and the murder mystery thriller Cry Wolf.

Bon Jovi’s son Jake, who has pursued acting, recently married Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, and the young couple—Jake is 22 and Millie is 20—is mirroring Jon and Dorothea.

The rocker explained, “Growing together is wise. . .So I think that all of my kids have found the people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all.”

Among all of Bon Jovi’s achievements, talking a woman off a bridge has to be near the top.
