Canada was supposed to be the harmless neighbor to the north.
But the country has taken a turn for the worse under socialist leadership.
And a Republican Attorney General revealed this awful scheme the Canadian government tried to pull in America.
Canadian spending their police to spy at American gun shows
Canada has strict gun control laws where only citizens with a license from the government can own a few models.
Predictably, gun control has failed to work as promised.
The country has blamed guns being smuggled into the country from the United States for a rise in shootings in the country.
Canadian authorities allege that the province of Saskatchewan had the biggest increase in crimes committed with guns in the country.
Saskatchewan borders the state of Montana.
Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen (R) said that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) contacted the Montana Department of Justice and Division of Criminal Investigations about running surveillance operations on gun shows in Bozeman and Kalispell.
“My hair is absolutely on fire,” Knudsen said. I absolutely hit the roof and instructed my agencies we are absolutely not being any part of this. We do not need Justin Trudeau conducting China-style surveillance here in America. If he wants to surveil his citizens, he can conduct surveillance in Canada.”
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sets up monitoring stations overseas where it can spy on its citizens.
Knudsen spoke to local sheriffs for the counties the two cities were in and they agreed that the RCMP should be kept out.
He suspected that President Joe Biden would have signed off on the RCMP spying on gun shows in the United States.
“This is inappropriate, probably illegal, and if we need to, we’ll sue the federal government over this one too,” Knudsen stated.
Canada has been spying on gun shows in Montana before
An undercover agent with the RCMP was found in a vehicle with Canadian license plates outside of a gun show in Great Falls, Montana in 2022.
The agent was seen inside the gun show watching people.
Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter said that his office wasn’t informed of any operation by Canada.
“It’s very dangerous to have an operation like that, and we should have been notified. So we told them the operation was over and to their credit, they agreed and they left that,” Slaughter said at the time.
The RCMP agent was part of a multinational gun smuggling task force working with Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
A spokeswoman with the Montana Department of Justice told the Daily Caller that the RCMP is believed to be suspending its operations in the United States.
“This afternoon we heard from RCMP and it sounds like they have backed off their most recent plans to spy on Montana gun shows,” the spokeswoman said. “However, we will continue to monitor the situation and stay in touch with local authorities should something change. Like you pointed out in your story, RCMP conducted a similar operation in Great Falls in 2022. The Montana Department of Justice will not cooperate in such operations.”
Canada is trying to run an illegal surveillance operation in the United States to enforce their gun control agenda.
