USAID worked to undermine Donald Trump from within during his first term
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was a little-known government agency for foreign aid until SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) shined a spotlight on it.
DOGE revealed thousands of shocking payments USAID made out of its annual budget of more than $50 billion.
The agency had been hijacked by the Left to fund its agenda around the world.
USAID money went to fund left-wing media around the globe, LGBTQ causes, abortion, climate change, and other woke causes.
But this was only the tip of the iceberg for USAID.
Former Trump State Department official Mike Benz revealed that the agency was working to undermine President Donald Trump during his first term in office during an appearance on Newsmax.
Benz revealed that USAID was used as cover to carry out American foreign policy around the world.
The actions the agency took were classified as “discreet action” to promote democracy instead of “covert action” that required the President’s approval.
USAID could operate without the direct approval of the White House.
“Because USAID can classify its cloak and dagger work as ‘discreet action’ for democracy promotion rather than ‘covert action’ requiring Presidential sign-off, USAID can keep the President of the United States totally in the dark,” Benz explained. “This is how USAID hoodwinked Trump term 1.0.”
USAID uses foreign aid as cover to carry out sinister actions
Benz said that nothing is as it seems with USAID.
“USAID is one of the most disturbing organizations in the entire federal government,” Benz said. “It may rank number one. In fact, USAID is under the cloak of being a humanitarian aid organization designed to advance U.S. foreign policy, it’s assigned the dirtiest tasks that the State Department can’t get caught doing and that used to be done directly by the CIA.”
He said that USAID carried out covert operations the way the CIA does but escaped White House scrutiny.
“If you understand the CIA’s history with money laundering, you’ll begin to get a glimpse of the size of the problem with USAID and why they won’t let either Congressional Oversight or DOGE see their books,” Benz said.
Trump temporarily shut down USAID and moved control of the agency to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“They have basically evolved into an agency that believes that they’re not even a U.S. government agency, that they’re a global charity, that they take the taxpayer money, and they spend it as a global charity irrespective of whether it is in the national interest or not in the national interest,” Rubio said.
USAID became a taxpayer-funded part of the resistance against Trump during his first term in office.
Now, the agency’s future is uncertain after Elon Musk exposed its shocking misuse of taxpayer money.
