James Carville tells Joe Biden to scram
Democrats are searching for a new direction after former Vice President Kamala Harris was trounced in the 2024 Election.
The soul-searching is still ongoing as the party tries to figure out a path forward under President Donald Trump.
Former President Joe Biden, the source of many of the Democrats’ problems, promised to stick around during his last full day in office.
“I’m not going anywhere. Oh, I’m not kidding,” Biden declared.
Veteran Democrat strategist James Carville blamed Biden for his party’s defeat for hanging on too long.
He was ready for the former President to leave the public spotlight forever.
“Well, this is the kind of truth of where we are,” Carville said on his Politics War Room podcast. We know Biden. Actually, you and I know him personally. And I think it’s fair to say that we’re long-time, at some level, admirers of Joe Biden.”
The strategist for former President Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign was ready to turn the knife.
“What he’s done to himself is no one wants to hear from this guy anymore,” Carville said. “Okay, just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there. And that’s not because we’re bad people or we’re mean people. It was all his doing. All his doing. This entire thing. And this kind of petty back and forth, ‘Oh I would have beat Trump,’ and no one f***ing believes that at all.”
Biden still claims that he would have won the election despite internal Democrat polling that showed Trump winning with over 400 Electoral Votes.
A disgraceful end to Biden’s long political career
Former First Lady Jill Biden is still bitter that former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) led the charge to force her husband to drop out of the race.
She told the Washington Post she was “disappointed” in Pelosi after their 50-year friendship.
Alexandra Pelosi, Nancy’s daughter, fired back by calling Jill “Lady McBiden” in a Politico piece.
Carville was disgusted with the squabbling created by the Bidens.
“And then fighting with Jill Biden and Alexandra Pelosi. I mean, just look, guy — you had a noble career. Your last act was terrible. Just get out of the way. The party’s moving on. I mean, they’re really moving on,” Carville explained. “And it’s very sad, but that’s just where we are. And he created this himself. He has nobody to blame but himself. Nobody.”
Carville’s co-host Al Hunt agreed that it was time for Biden to exit the public spotlight and focus on raising money for his future Presidential library.
“Joe Biden really has no role to play in the national dialogue now,” Hunt stated. “And that is sad.”
“If he tries to play a role, it’ll be a negative role,” Carville replied.
Joe Biden’s more than 50-year political career ended with him being despised by members of both parties.
