And Chief Justice John Roberts made one bad bet that could change the fate of Donald Trump’s Presidency.
Left-wing activist Judges seize power over the country
The battle over President Donald Trump’s agenda is being fought in Federal District Courts around the country.
Big Labor and Democrats secured 15 temporary restraining orders against the Trump administration in February.
That’s more than former President Joe Biden faced in the first three years of his administration.
Activist District Court Judges have seized the executive powers of the Presidency under Article II of the Constitution away from Trump.
These unelected dictators in black robes have declared that they can issue nationwide orders to force Trump to rehire fired employees, set standards for the military, force the government to pay foreign aid, and turn planes around in midair deporting violent gang members.
The Federalist CEO Sean Davis warned about the lasting damage to the country this judicial tyranny is causing during an appearance on the RealClearPolitics podcast.
“I think it is extremely important for the long-term good of our country and the protection of the rule of law for each branch of government to stay in its lane,” Davis said. “When they get out of that, there are horrible consequences. I would like to see appellate courts and the Supreme Court rein in these authoritarian, lawless, illegal orders from rogue Judges who do not recognize limits on their authority.”
The Supreme Court is playing with fire
Chief Justice John Roberts has been content to let these rogue District Court Judges overstep their authority with blatantly unconstitutional actions.
Davis argued that this is a powder keg waiting to explode.
“My worry is that the longer this goes on, the longer Roberts and the Supreme Court let these people play in these sandboxes and take powers that aren’t theirs, the more drastic the response is going to be when either the President or the Congress finally have enough,” Davis said.
Trump has said that he’s going to follow rulings even if he doesn’t agree with them and let the appeals process play out.
Davis was worried that eventually the President or Congress would disregard the courts.
“What I do not want us to see is get to the point where a president, any president, says, ‘These courts aren’t legitimate. They’re acting like politicians, but they aren’t accountable like politicians. And we’re not going to pay attention to them anymore.’ Once people believe they can ignore the Supreme Court, once people believe it is not a legitimate institution, it is over,” Davis stated.
Democrat Judges have turned the courts into political weapons to stop Trump’s agenda.
Roberts’ refusal to step in and stop these activist Judges is sending the country toward a constitutional crisis.
The Chief Justice is going to destroy any legitimacy the legal system has on the right if he stands pat.
Eventually, he’s going to force the Trump administration to start ignoring District Court Judges.
