Donald Trump is back in the White House.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is back as well.
But this NBA announcer crossed the line with Trump and instantly regretted it.
Announcer had a ridiculous message about Trump
Leftists have made politics inescapable.
Sports have become infused with politics over the last decade, particularly the NBA.
The NBA literally canceled playoff games in the aftermath of the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Blake was shot by police after resisting arrest and reaching for a knife.
The NBA also put “woke” slogans on players’ jerseys in response to the George Floyd riots.
During Donald Trump’s first term, teams also refused to visit the White House after winning the NBA Finals.
With Trump back in the White House, more TDS outbursts could be occurring.
And such an outburst came from Cleveland Cavaliers color commentator Austin Carr.
Carr, who played for the Cavaliers in the 1970s, wrote on social media, “Cavs have three all star, congrats, well deserved GO CAVS #ImpeachTrumpNOW.”

Carr later deleted his call for Trump to be impeached.
He then offered a strange explanation for what happened.
Carr wrote, “Need help using my phone, note to self -double check hashtags before posting Go Cavs.”

Politicized NBA: NBA announcer called for Trump to be impeached
Carr is not alone in wanting Trump impeached before he’s even done anything.
That was the rallying cry from Permanent Washington as soon as Trump took office in 2017.
Prominent Democrats were calling for Trump to be impeached even when they did not have the majority in either chamber of Congress.
As soon as the Democrats took the House in 2018, they concocted a reason to impeach Trump.
Now in 2025, the scenario is similar.
Republicans control both the House and the Senate, but that won’t stop the Democrats from being hysterical.
NBA ratings dipped after the league went super “woke” in the aftermath of the 2020 summer of riots.
Since then, the league has toned down its political messaging.
However, outspoken coaches like the Golden State Warriors’ Steve Kerr and the San Antonio Spurs’ Gregg Popovich have routinely launched attacks at Trump.
Kerr even spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
After Trump’s victory in November, Kerr sarcastically congratulated him.
Kerr said, “I believe in democracy and the American people have spoken and voted for Trump. I want him to do well the next four years. I want our country to do well. I’m just thankful that there wasn’t any voting fraud this time. Last time, I mean, all those illegal immigrants who crashed the border, raped and murdered people and then voted six times, that was unfortunate. But thankfully this time everything was clean. So, it’s great that every election has been really valid except for that last one four years ago. Twinkle in my eye as I say that in case you couldn’t see it.”
For a league that’s trying to win back viewers, Carr’s tweet was ill-advised.
The NBA might not survive another round of prolonged TDS.
