Donald Trump has a lot on his plate when he returns to office.
He was shaken by something he never expected.
And an FBI agent sounded the alarm on one scary problem that left Donald Trump on edge.
The “experts” warn drones could become the next major terrorist threat
The New Year’s Day terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans raised fears about future attacks.
Right on cue, the “experts” sounded warnings that drones could be the next method used by terrorists.
Drones are relatively cheap and easy to acquire and operate.
They’ve become commonly used in combat in Ukraine, Africa, and the Middle East in conflict.
Retired FBI Executive Assistant Director Christopher Piehota oversaw that bureau’s anti-drone program.
He told Just the News that the government is unprepared for the emerging threat of drones.
“There has not been enough preparation proactively to prevent an incident associated with drone warfare and not even close,” Piehota said. “Government, I think, is waking up to it. But it’s a day-late, dollar-short type of situation.”
State and local governments on the East Coast were caught by surprise by the mysterious drone sightings that began in New Jersey.
The drones flew over sensitive sites like military installations and the electrical grid but there was little authorities could do to counter them.
“We’re pretty far behind the defensive curve, so to speak,” Piehota explained. “And unfortunately in the United States, it takes a tragedy for us to really snap out of our malaise and work against the threats proactively.”
Drones can exploit weak spots in the United States
The Rand Corporation prepared a report for the Department of Homeland Security that claimed that drones are a major vulnerability.
It said that terrorists are looking to hit soft targets in crowded places (ST-CP) to inflict the maximum number of casualties.
The report warned that attacks would likely be coming from drones in the future.
“UASs [ uncrewed aircraft systems] can carry explosive payloads and have the ability to maneuver into secure areas without detection,” the report stated. “UASs can also give the operator the ability to act anonymously and a greater chance to avoid detection and capture. The growing use of UASs in both the private sector and government operations likely means that more people will have access to these systems in the future and the expertise to operate them, making the use of UASs for attacks increasingly likely.”
A declassified report from the Director of National Intelligence in 2021 warned that the country could be caught off guard by a drone attack.
“Recently, the United States was caught off guard yet again by terrorist groups’ ability to adapt their tactics on the battlefield and cause bloodshed in new and surprising ways,” the report stated, without citing specifics.
While that may or may not have been the case, it shouldn’t have been.
At least not according to a February 2021 paper titled The Role of Drones in Future Terrorist Attacks published by the Association of the United States Army, which states “Between 1994 and 2018, more than 14 planned or attempted terrorist attacks took place using aerial drones.”
Of course, Joe Biden has also evidently been supplying drone weapons systems to his pal Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine for several years now.
So it stands to reason the use of drones wouldn’t have gone unnoticed.
Retired FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam said it was concerning that officials in New York and New Jersey were caught flat-footed by the drone sightings.
“That’s the problem, total unawareness by the American people and complete inability of law enforcement and the executives in these cities to evolve as fast as the terrorist tactics,” Gilliam said. “The terrorists will do whatever they can to carry out these attacks. But these officials refuse to step outside their normal box and say, ‘OK, we don’t normally do it this way, but let’s try it.’”
The Deep State and its cronies are ready for Americans to live in a state of constant fear and once again use that to enrich themselves.
That may explain why experts are now scrambling to capitalize on the unanswered questions surrounding the recent attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas by declaring drones some sort of ‘emerging’ threat.
The government is often asleep at the wheel but it shouldn’t be when it comes to countering drones.
