And two CNN personalities were forced to admit one truth about Trump that infuriated Democrats.
Van Jones admits Trump is smarter than he thought
Democrats and their media allies thought they were finished with Donald Trump after January 6.
But Trump pulled off a historic political comeback.
When the January 6 impeachment failed, the Left turned to unprecedented lawfare, akin to banana republics where the person in power imprisons the leader of the opposition.
However, the lawfare did not succeed.
So the Democrats pivoted to good old-fashioned propaganda.
They flooded the airwaves with talking points about Trump being a threat to “our democracy.”
The Orange Man was going to “terminate” the Constitution and destroy the country.
The American people did not buy it, which is why Trump won both the Electoral College and the popular vote.
And some on the Left are finally coming face to face with reality.
CNN personalities Van Jones and Chris Cillizza were doing a postmortem on the 2024 Presidential election.
Cillizza was puzzled how Trump was able to get around the so-called mainstream media.
He asked, “How the hell did Donald Trump figure out the mainstream media is the fringe and the fringe is now the mainstream? . . . How the hell was he—the 78-year-old guy who doesn’t even have a computer and still, like, writes handwritten notes—how did he become the guy who cracked the code on. . .heading a cultural movement instead of a campaign?”
Jones said that Cillizza and other Democrats were looking at the situation all wrong.
He answered, “I mean, the problem is you have a framework in your mind: How can Donald Trump? How can Donald Trump? How can Donald Trump? Guys, can we cut it out? Donald Trump is not an idiot. Let me just be very clear. Donald Trump is smarter than me, you, and all of his critics. You know how I know? Because he has the White House, the Senate, the House, the Supreme Court, the popular vote.”
Van Jones calls out liberal media figures for habitually saying that Trump is stupid, and notes that mainstream media figures are the ones that end up ‘looking like idiots’:

Alternative media
As Jones pointed out, Trump is a lot smarter than his critics think.
It takes deft maneuvering to rise to the top of Manhattan real estate, which is incredibly competitive and cutthroat.
Trump also became a big star in Hollywood, another hard industry.
Trump then moved into politics and found success.
One thing Trump does is take counsel from his children, whom he raised well.
For instance, it was Trump’s youngest son Barron who recommended his father go on shows with popular podcasters such as Joe Rogan and Theo Von.
In 2016, Trump used Twitter to circumvent the so-called mainstream media monopoly.
In 2024, he used podcasts.
The Democrats have spent the last six years trying to get independent media voices censored, demonetized, and flat-out banned.
And now they’re wondering why they’re losing in the independent media space.
Trump went to alternative media because that’s where the people are.
