The Deep State has been at war with Donald Trump since his Presidential bid.

More disturbing details are coming out about their schemes.

And a government watchdog exposed this Deep State plot to target Trump’s FBI nominee.

Justice Department spied on Kash Patel and Congressman

The unelected career bureaucrats in the Department of Justice worked to undermine President-elect Donald Trump during his first term in office.

Rogue Justice Department employees carried out their own agenda without the knowledge or approval of Trump.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report that career prosecutors in the Justice Department secretly obtained the records of Congressman, Congressional staffers, and journalists as part of an alleged investigation into leaks in 2017 of FBI material during the Russian collusion hoax investigation.

Kash Patel, who President-elect Donald Trump nominated to be the FBI director, was a staffer on the House Intelligence Committee at the time.  Patel, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) were the high-profile targets of the surveillance dragnet, which also extended to include 20 Republican staffers, 21 Democrat staffers, two nonpartisan staffers, and eight journalists.

This was the same time that Patel was working with former House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) to expose the Russian collusion hoax.

Horowitz’s report found that career prosecutors used the investigation for a sweeping investigation into the staffers and journalists.

The report argued that targeting people based on their proximity to classified information has a chilling effect on the House’s ability to conduct oversight of the executive branch.

Career prosecutors hid the fact from courts that they were seeking records from House members and staffers which raises constitutional questions about separation of powers.

Patel sued the Justice Department and the FBI for illegally obtaining his data in the 2017 investigation.

His lawsuit exposed that the Justice Department tried to obtain his Google records from a nearly two-year time span from 2016 to 2017.

Patel accused the FBI and the Justice Department of retaliating against him for his work on exposing the Russian collusion hoax.

Kash Patel vows to clean up the FBI after he was spied on

Patel, a Trump loyalist, was nominated as FBI director to end the politicization that’s overtaken the bureau.

A statement from his spokeswoman Erica Knight said that the latest spying by the Justice Department confirmed why he was the right choice to lead the FBI.

“This report highlights exactly why Kash Patel is the perfect leader to reform and rebuild the FBI,” Knight said. “Kash understands the critical balance between national security and protecting civil liberties.

“His commitment to accountability, transparency, and upholding constitutional principles makes him uniquely equipped to ensure the FBI serves the American people with integrity and fairness,” Knight continued. “Kash will work hand-in-hand with Congress to restore trust and safeguard our freedoms.”

The Justice Department and FBI were completely out of control during Trump’s first term in office.

Bringing the rogue employees in those agencies to heel will be critical for his success over the next four years.
