Planning his underway for Donald Trump’s agenda when takes office in January.
This time he’s got more allies who have his back.
And Sheriffs had one message for Donald Trump that sent Democrats into a frenzy.
Sheriffs vow to help Donald Trump deport illegal aliens
President-elect Donald Trump will launch the largest mass deportation of illegal aliens in the country’s history once he’s inaugurated.
Democrats are already preparing to block his efforts to deport illegal aliens in their states and cities.
Trump has some backup on his plan with Sheriffs across the country announcing they want to work with the federal government to remove illegal aliens.
Frederick County, Maryland Sheriff Chuck Jenkins noted that voters gave Trump a mandate to take action against illegal immigration.
I’m willing to support the President 100%,” Jenkins said. “I want to do more, within the law.”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will lead the charge in apprehending illegal aliens but they’ll need all the backup they can get in this massive undertaking.
The incoming Trump administration is planning to use the 287(g) program under the Immigration and Nationality Act signed by former President Bill Clinton in 1996.
287(g) allows local and state law enforcement to ask about a suspect’s immigration status and arrest them for being illegal aliens.
Trump’s “Border Czar” Tom Homan, a former acting ICE director, believes the program can serve as a deterrent to illegal aliens.
“State and local cooperation is absolutely essential to detain and deport illegal immigrants on a historic scale,” National Immigration Center for Enforcement president R.J. Hauman told the Wall Street Journal.
Trump will empower Sheriffs to take action against illegal aliens
The 287(g) program currently has 135 law enforcement agencies in 21 states participating in it.
Participants are expected to dramatically increase after Trump takes office in January.
“You should expect to see a historic number of new 287(g) agreements,” a source in the Trump transition team told the Wall Street Journal.
Butler County, Ohio Sheriff Richard Jones spoke at a Trump rally earlier this year and is eager to get work helping the incoming administration.
“So do the American people,” Jones said about mass deportations. “People are tired of this.”
Jones revealed that the Biden-Harris administration stopped local law enforcement from doing anything about illegal immigration.
“We’re going to be in the business again,” Jones declared.
He estimated that his jail could hold up to 150 illegal aliens for ICE.
“We have space available, and they’re going to need space from day one,” Jones stated.
The Sheriff said that he wanted to rebuild the relationship his office had with federal authorities before Biden was elected.
“We actually had ICE agents that had offices here, and we had hearings with immigration court for deportation,” Jones explained. “And we still have the setup. We’re getting that back reinstated here.”
Constitutional Sheriffs & Peace Officers Association found Richard Mack estimated that nearly 2,000 Sheriffs could help Trump’s efforts across the country.
“We’re really pushing that nationwide…Sheriffs being involved in deportations or it’s not going to work,” Mack said. “Sheriffs, why would they back away? The political wave, the red wave, is behind them.”
Sheriffs will be the helping hands the Trump administration needs to carry out mass deportations.
