Democrats are trying to organize a resistance to Donald Trump’s incoming administration.
They want to try to undermine his agenda.
And Tom Homan erupted in laughter when a Democrat Governor started this fight with Donald Trump.
New Mexico Governor vows to fight Donald Trump’s plan to deport illegal aliens
President-elect Donald Trump and his team are going to begin the largest mass deportation operation in American history on day one when he takes office.
Democrat Governors and Mayors are already planning to resist any effort to deport illegal aliens in their jurisdictions.
Fighting the Trump administration is an easy way for Democrats to begin positioning themselves for the 2028 Election.
New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham vowed to fight mass deportations because she claimed they were unconstitutional during an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki.
Psaki asked what she could do to fight Trump’s attempt to deport illegal aliens.
“Well, a couple of things,” Grisham declared. “First of all, as you know, it is unlawful. You can’t use the military. You can’t do mass deportations.”
None of this is true.
Trump has the legal authority to deport illegal aliens and the military can legally do logistical work in support of it.
“So, any federal administration should expect states and I think you should expect some bipartisan support, not just from Democratic governors to push back on violating the Constitution and the law,” Grisham claimed. “We’re not going to do that.”
Grisham unconstitutionally suspended the rights of citizens in the Albuquerque area to open carry or a concealed carry weapon for 30 days to curb gang violence by declaring a public health emergency.
She was smacked down in court for the stunt and Democrats in New Mexico called her out for the unconstitutional order.
Grisham is one of the least credible politicians to discuss the constitutionality of any action.
Democrat Governor admits she wants to commit a federal felony
Title 8, United States Code 1324-III makes it a federal felony to knowingly harbor or conceal an illegal alien.
President-elect Donald Trump’s newly appointed “Border Czar” Tom Homan has repeatedly warned that mayors and governors blocking the administration’s efforts to deport illegal aliens could be charged under the law.
“They need to be aware of a couple things. No. 1, impeding a federal law enforcement officer is a crime. No. 2, if you knowingly harbor or conceal an illegal alien from ICE, that’s a crime,” Homan told Just the News. “So don’t cross that line!”
Grisham claimed in her interview that the focus needed to be on violent criminals.
“We ought to be working on making sure that violent criminals and criminal activity are stopped everywhere,” Grisham claimed. “There isn’t a state that isn’t interested, whether you’re an American citizen or not.”
The first targets for Trump’s deportation plan are illegal aliens who’ve committed crimes in the United States.
Grisham isn’t interested in taking violent illegal aliens off the streets in New Mexico.
Democrats are looking for a showdown with the Trump administration over deportations.
That confrontation won’t play out like they think it will.
