The media tried to put its thumb on the scale for Kamala Harris during the election.
A new sheriff in Washington, D.C. means they could pay the price.
And a Trump nominee had one scary warning for CBS News that sent the network into a state of panic.
Trump’s FCC nominee warns of consequences for CBS News for deceptively editing Kamala interview
CBS News was one of the many media outlets that were in the tank for Vice President Kamala Harris during the election.
She sat down for an interview with 60 Minutes where the network was caught answering what she gave Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to make her seem more articulate.
A clip was posted on social media as a preview of the interview where Kamala gave her typical rambling world salad in response to the question.
When viewers watched the 60 Minutes interview on TV, they saw her give an entirely different answer.
One that was clearer and more concise than her world salad.
Remember Kamala’s word salad answer about Israel on 60 Minutes? It’s gone.

CBS News defended the editing after the network was called out by claiming that it was part of the show’s standard editing practices.
President-elect Donald Trump appointed Brendan Carr to serve as the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Carr warned that 60 Minutes’ deceitful editing of the Kamala interview could impact a corporate merger involving CBS’ parent company Paramount Global.
Fox News host Dana Perino asked him what the FCC could do to help the legacy improve.
“Broadcasters are differently situated than other speakers,” Carr said. “They get free access to a valuable public resource, the airwaves. And they’re licensed by the FCC. And the exchange for that is the acting in the public interest.”
Carr noted that an FCC complaint was filed against CBS over the Kamala interview.
“I think it’s important that we take another look at that and we reinvigorate it,” Carr stated. There’s also a news distortion complaint at the FCC with CBS and CBS has a transaction before the FCC.”
Paramount Global is in talks to merge with Skydance Media.
“I’m pretty confident that that news distortion complaint over the CBS 60 Minutes transcript is something that’s likely to arise in the context of the FCC review of that transaction,” Carr warned.
CBS tried to move the needle for Kamala and now it could pay the price.
FCC nominee vows to defend free speech and clean up the media
Perino asked Carr what his priorities would be leading the FCC.
“Number one is looking at tech censorship. Free speech is the bedrock of our democracy,” Carr explained. “And there’s been this unprecedented surge in censorship over the last couple of years. And we need to restore American’s First Amendment rights.”
He pointed out that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos warned his paper the Washington Post that the media has a serious credibility problem.
“Number two is to look at our approach to media,” Carr said. “You know, Jeff Bezos just recently did an op-ed where he said that Americans don’t trust the news media. He said now they’re the least trusted of all. And I think he’s speaking a lot of truth there. So I think the status quo, particularly when it comes to legacy media, needs to change.”
Venture capitalist David Sacks suggested selling the spectrum that the broadcast networks use for free because their model is obsolete and using the money to pay down the national debt.
The broadcast media’s decades of favoritism could come back to haunt them under the incoming Trump administration.
