But a Hollywood actor made one shocking announcement about Trump that could kill his career.
Hollywood star endorses Trump
One entertainment after another has lined up to endorse Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential race.
After the debate between Harris and Donald Trump, pop star Taylor Swift publicly announced her support for Harris.
Swift’s endorsement surprised no one because celebrities are almost expected to support the Democrat.
However, in rare instances, celebrities in the entertainment industry support Republicans.
That’s precisely what actor Zachary Levi did at a recent event.
Levi, who starred in the blockbuster DC Comics film Shazam and the NBC spy comedy series Chuck, supported Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. until he suspended his campaign.
With Kennedy out, Levi announced that he was supporting Trump.
Levi told the crowd, “In a perfect world, in whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby. . .But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff, and we’re here to stop that.”
Levi explained that his parents were JFK Democrats and Reagan Republicans, and he grew up in a Christian conservative house.
He continued, “We are going to take back this country. We are going to make it great again, we’re going to make it healthy again. And so I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump. . .Of the two choices that we have, and we only have two, President Trump is the man that can get us there.”
Levi also acknowledged that publicly endorsing Trump might end his Hollywood career.
He said, “Within my industry as you can probably imagine, Hollywood is a very, very liberal town and this very well could constitute career suicide, so I’m glad I did it with you guys.”

Anti-Trump toxicity dissipating
Levi has spoken about his Christian faith in the past, so it’s not a complete shock that he could not support an ever-increasing anti-religion Democrat Party.
He was also one of the people in Hollywood who spoke out against vaccine mandates.
Levi is not alone in supporting Kennedy, then Trump.
Actress Drea de Matteo, who was a regular on The Sopranos, had a similar political evolution.
Even though she is socially liberal, she felt that the Democrats had gone way too far with their radicalism and authoritarianism on vaccines and free speech.
One saving grace for Levi’s career could be that the stigma around supporting Trump has lessened.
For instance, after Trump survived the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg called Trump’s reaction “bad ass.”
After funneling $400 million into Democrat hands in the 2020 election, Zuckerberg announced that he was sitting out the 2024 election and now holds more libertarian views.
