This summer, right-leaning candidates and parties made significant gains in Europe, including Nigel Farage’s Reform Party, Germany’s Alternative for Germany party, and France’s National Rally party.
These gains, combined with the possibility of another Donald Trump Presidency, have leftists across the Western world pulling their hair out.
In Australia, lawmakers have gone to extreme lengths to control online discourse with the intent of holding on to power at all costs.
For example, the Australian government has passed a number of disturbing measures, which give the government sweeping authority to censor online content they deem as “misinformation” or “hostile.”
Furthermore, Australian lawmakers have approved measures that could punish social media platforms with crippling fines for not responding to this “hostile” content swiftly enough.
Just last week, X owner Elon Musk clapped back at the Australian government, responding to a report about their recent policy regarding fining companies for the content on their platforms.
Musk shared the report on X, simply responding with “fascists.”
Elon Musk and X have become a focal point for the Australian government for quite some time, with Australian lawmakers even threatening to punish Musk personally for not complying with their radical censorship demands.
Earlier this year, the Australian government and Musk butted heads after Musk refused to remove a video of the attempted assassination of Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel after Islamic terrorists descended upon him and his church.
The Australian government went as far as to express their desire to control content outside of their borders, something that grabbed the attention of Internet users everywhere.
Other nations, such as Brazil, have even prohibited Brazilians from accessing X and other Musk-owned assets, such as Starlink.
Like Australia, the Brazilian government claims that Musk is personally liable for any “hostile” content or so-called “misinformation” that appears on his platform, which millions of people use every day.

Lawmakers in Brazil, Australia, Europe, and the United States have made repeated threats against Elon Musk and X, claiming that he bears personal responsibility for the content on his platforms.
As any X user knows, it is virtually impossible to keep up with your own feed, never mind all of the activity that occurs on X from the millions of people who use it every day.
Many internet users would agree that the attacks against Elon Musk represent a coordinated effort to stifle free speech and to silence people like Elon Musk and anybody who dares to question these sinister pursuits.
