It’s only been two months since Donald Trump was nearly murdered on live television at a rally.
The press tried to memory-hole the incident, but then the unthinkable happened.
And the Secret Service’s failure in Trump’s near assassination was so bad that one top Democrat made this shocking statement.

Shots rang out in another foiled assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump over the weekend at his Palm Beach golf course.
Fortunately, Trump was unharmed, and Ryan Wesley Routh, the alleged would-be assassin – the second known person to go after Donald Trump – was taken into custody by local police a short time later.
The latest close call for Trump comes only days after Senate investigators announced a forthcoming report on the Secret Service’s failure to protect Trump at the July 13, 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
There is no love lost between Donald Trump and the Democrat Party.
They all despise Trump and revel in the lawfare and character assassination against him.
But even some Democrats are outraged at what they’ve uncovered already.
Dick Blumenthal furious at the Secret Service over shocking report on Secret Service failures compiled by Senate
Some Democrats have been willing to call out the Secret Service for the alarming security failures that occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
Twenty-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks was somehow able to get within 150 yards of the stage and take a clear shot at Trump from an unsecured rooftop.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), a vociferous critic of Trump, ripped apart the U.S. Secret Service for the unthinkable security failures that took place that day.
Blumenthal told reporters, “I think the American people are going to be shocked, astonished, and appalled by what we will report to them about the failures by the Secret Service in this assassination attempt on the former president. . .But I think they also ought to be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to be more forthcoming, to be as candid and frank as it should be to them in terms of providing information.”

Senate report coming soon
Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) added that the Senate report “will be coming out shortly. And it’ll only be an interim report because there’s a lot more information that we need to find. . .And we hope once this report comes out and we can get the additional information necessary to have a complete report of what happened, as well as steps of what we need to do in the future to make sure that this never happens.”
Former Secret Service head Kim Cheatle initially said that she had no plans to step down.
However, he had no choice but to resign after getting eviscerated during a Congressional hearing.
Some of Cheatle’s more furious interrogators were Democrats.
For instance, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said, “The individual used an AR-15 in order to act out his assassination attempt. . .An AR-15 has a range of about 400 to 600 yards. My question is, why is the Secret Service protective perimeter shorter than one of the most popular semi-automatic weapons in the United States?”
She also called Cheatle’s answers “not acceptable” and called for her to resign.
Democrats could be making a cynical play by pretending to be furious over the assassination attempt and eager to get to the bottom of it.
But they could also be sincere because the Secret Service protects them as well.
They don’t want to be guarded by an inept, partisan protection service, especially if Trump gets back in the White House.
Hopefully the American people will finally get real answers as to what happened on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, and, now, over the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida.
