Grandma who prayed on January 6 targeted by Biden’s Justice Department
Attorney General Merrick Garland has sicced the Justice Department on former President Donald Trump and his supporters who took part on January 6.
Peaceful protesters are getting hit with absurd charges like parading as the Biden-Harris administration looks to drop the hammer on any conservative involved with the day.
Colorado great-grandma Rebecca Lavrenz was convicted of four misdemeanor charges of entering the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.
She saw the doors to the building open and went in for ten minutes before she left.
Federal prosecutors never accused her of harming anyone or doing any damage while she was in the building funded by her taxpayer money.
“I went through a door that opened in front of me, and I walked through the Capitol. I carried God’s presence into that building for about 10 minutes, walked out, did not shout, stayed within the lines, and was not stopped by any police officers and walked back out,” Lavrenz told Newsmax following her sentencing last week.
She became known as the “J6 Praying Grandma” on social media.
The Biden-Harris administration’s prosecutors sought to throw her in jail for ten months because she was an outspoken critic of the politically motivated prosecutions of January 6 protestors.
Grandma punished with a massive fine for misdemeanor charges
Lavrenz managed to escape jail time when she was sentenced.
But she was given a fine that was designed to bankrupt her.
The great-grandma was given 12 months of probation, six months of home detention with restricted internet access, and more than $103,000 worth of fines, restitution, and special assessments.
Four misdemeanors resulting in more than $100,000 in fines is a politically motivated punishment to cripple a great-grandma financially.
Biden prosecutors have been looking to drop the hammer on anyone involved with January 6 even if they did nothing wrong.
Lavrenz said that she was being treated like a criminal for exercising her rights before she was convicted.
“My own country is treating me like a criminal just because I believe that … they stole my rightful president,” Lavrenz said in a video posted on social media when she learned of the charges. “And just standing up for my country makes me a criminal, and it’s not right; it feels so weird to be here.”

Garland’s prosecutors, in their zeal to get the maximum possible jail sentence in January 6 cases, began using a law that was passed after the Enron scandal.
Trump and hundreds of January 6 defendants were charged with obstructing an official proceeding.
But these rogue prosecutors stretched the law which was meant to cover the destruction of corporate documents to mean obstructing the certification of the Electoral College vote count by Congress.
The Supreme Court threw out this overly broad interpretation of obstructing an official proceeding in the case Fischer v. United States.
Merrick Garland is using the justice system to try to destroy the political opponents of the Biden-Harris administration.
