YouTube just took out another conservative for defying the establishment narrative

Big Tech censorship has escalated quickly.

At first, only so-called “fringe” voices were being silenced.

But YouTube just took out another conservative for defying the establishment narrative.

Conservative firebrand Michelle Malkin had one of her YouTube videos about COVID-19 policies nuked.

Her channel received a strike, which means it could be eliminated for good if it gets two more.

YouTube and other Big Tech platforms have shown that free inquiry and honest debate is almost impossible on their sites.

Breitbart reports:

“Conservative author and journalist Michelle Malkin has been censored on YouTube over a video highlighting opposition to mask mandates, in what the Google-owned platform said was a violation of its ‘medical misinformation’ policy. Malkin, who has been targeted by YouTube’s censors before, under the same pretext, told Breitbart News that the people suppressing debate and dissent were the true threats to public health.”

There is no evidence that mask mandates do anything to slow the spread of COVID.

Countries that had some of the highest levels of mask compliance had infection curves comparable to – or worse than – countries that did not undertake draconian measures.

Malkin responded to the censorship by saying:

“I warned in 2019 that a federally-funded campaign to combat the vaccine debate online was on the horizon . . . That’s exactly what has happened as Silicon Valley, Big Pharma, and globalist institutions squelch dissent under the guise of eradicating ‘disinformation.’ Watch and download all my YouTube interviews on vaccines, masks, and COVID tyranny now (all backed up on BitChute) before they all get memory-holed . . . We need MORE free speech, not less. Those who seek to suppress debate & discussion in the name of the ‘public good’ are the true health threats.”

Physicians have had videos taken down despite their credentials and the fact they had data on their side.

YouTube’s justification for the deletion was appropriately Orwellian.

A spokesperson said:

“YouTube does not allow content that spreads medical misinformation that contradicts local health authorities or the World Health Organization (WHO) medical information about COVID-19.”

The problem with this statement is that local authorities and the WHO are not on the same page.

For example, the WHO does not recommend masking young children.

So someone could repeat the WHO guidelines and run afoul of the CDC guidelines.

The bottom line is that there are no standards.

The powers that be at Big Tech companies can silence whoever they want for whatever reason, and there’s no recourse.
