Donald Trump campaigned on providing transparency.

But there are many secrets that the Deep State wants to remain hidden.

And Tucker Carlson shockingly called out one Republican for a possible coverup of the JFK files.

Demand for JFK files to be released

People have been waiting for decades for the release of redacted files regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.

The full disclosure of the documents has been delayed several times with no real reason given.

Donald Trump promised during his campaign to release all of the files, which is reportedly in the process of being done.

However, there are people inside Permanent Washington that want the JFK files to stay buried forever.

During a conversation with NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo, Tucker Carlson revealed that a sitting U.S. Senator is also scrambling to keep the information hidden.

Carlson asked, “Let me ask you a question that for some reason seems to have sunk beneath the waves. The JFK story 62 years ago, the President’s murdered. It’s pretty clear that the story we were told isn’t true. And it bothers people because it gets to a core question, which is, is the President capable of making independent decisions? Or is there a threat of physical violence against all American Presidents that persists? Well, we know there’s a threat of violence because we just watched our President get shot in the head. Of course, but from whatever group has been able to keep these files secret for 62 years. So my question to you is like, what is that? Why have these been secret for so long?”

Cuomo did not have a clear answer, but said that it was likely to protect the CIA.

Carlson responded, “Okay, so I’ve always thought that. And then in January, you know, there was a scramble over who’s going to get what jobs in the new administration. And at one point, there was someone who was being discussed for a job in the intel world. And a member of the SSCI, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Intel Committee, went to the people making the decisions that you cannot hire this person because this person will be certain to push for the release of the JFK files.”

Tom Cotton involved?

Carlson’s point was that if the stonewalling were just about the CIA covering its tracks, it wouldn’t make sense for a U.S. Senator to go along with it.

Cuomo pressed Carlson for the name of the Senator, and Carlson eventually revealed that it was Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR).

Carlson’s claim sent shockwaves through the political establishment.

Cotton was compelled to respond to the claim.

He wrote on social media, “This is false. I have no problem releasing the ‘JFK files.’ Had [Tucker] asked me, I would’ve told him. He has texted me multiple times in recent weeks, so he knows how to reach me.”

Cotton added, “I would’ve explained that I’ve never spoken to President Trump or his associates or administration officials about the files, never objected to the appointment of any person because of the files, and have complete faith that Tulsi Gabbard, John Ratcliffe, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and other officials will release the files as appropriate in accordance with President Trump’s directive.”

The Senator also went on Fox News and denied the claim.

Regardless, Carlson put more pressure on politicians to ensure the release of the files.

It’s safe to assume that 62 years is long enough.
