Millions of Americans are pissed at the media powers that be after getting massively insulted over and over again.
But the elites are so desperate to control the narrative for their political cronies they’re about to give themselves another self-inflicted wound.
Yet Trump lovers in Alaska are still sitting pretty.
Screens are about to go blank for viewers of One American News (OAN).
The establishment is using a terrifying strategy to shut down the conservative network because the leftist elites view anyone with a dissenting opinion as a potential threat.
Donald Trump scared the hell out of the establishment in 2016.
Nobody was supposed to expose the shell game that was being played in The Washington, D.C. Swamp.
Now that the word is out, demonizing and silencing opposing points of view like those on OAN has become the Left’s top priority.
Censorship is now the default weapon of the establishment, and now OAN is on the chopping block.
The network has now been dropped by all cable providers in the continental US.
Verizon, the last major holdout, said it would no longer carry OAN by the end of July.
The provider said in a statement, “Our negotiation with OAN has been a typical, business-as-usual carriage negotiation like those that routinely happen between content distributors and content providers. These negotiations were focused on economics, as they always are, but OAN failed to agree to fair terms…Since we were unable to reach an agreement, effective July 31, 2022, we will no longer have the rights to provide our customers with this programming, and it will be removed from the Fios TV lineup.”
What those “fair terms” were is anyone’s guess.
Providers have been under relentless pressure from the Left to drop OAN because of its willingness to platform Donald Trump and make unpopular arguments.
Many Democrats have even pushed to ban Fox News, so an upstart network like OAN was particularly vulnerable.
The Verizon statement continued, “Our company has long advocated for providing customers with the ability to choose what content they want to watch, and our Fios TV platform offers a wide and diverse choice of programming options, including a la carte options, that strive to meet our millions of customers’ various content needs and preferences.”
Apparently, OAN is not part of that “diverse choice” of programming.
Alaska’s General Communications is the last American cable provider that carries OAN.
Anyone else will have to watch the network via online streaming.
But it won’t stop there.
The Left have developed a taste for censorship, so it’s not going to stop.
The solution is to get around the bottlenecks that exist in the digital space.
People are developing workarounds, but it’s going to take time to get past the establishment gatekeepers.
