Hollywood and the NBA are completely in hock to the Chinese.
But few thought strategically significant American companies would follow, sports and entertainment cowering to China so blatantly.
Now everyone should worry over the “world’s most important bank” CEO and top Biden backer spouse bowing to China.
Jamie Dimon is the CEO of JPMorgan Chase – the worlds’ so-called “most important bank” according to the “Too Big To Fail” Bush-era financial regulation rankings released recently.
So it should worry any that Dimon as CEO of such a “systemically important bank” just issued a groveling apology to the Chinese Community Party.
And the reason why is eye rolling.
At a public event, Dimon made a harmless joke about the CCP, but he felt the need to say he was sorry for the inoffensive remark.
“I made a joke the other day that the Communist Party is celebrating its 100th year…So is JPMorgan. I’d make a bet that we last longer…I can’t say that in China. They are probably listening anyway.”
Apparently that nothing of a joke required a full-throated apology.
“I regret my recent comment because it’s never right to joke about or denigrate any group of people, whether it’s a country, its leadership, or any part of a society and culture…Speaking in that way can take away from constructive and thoughtful dialogue in society, which is needed now more than ever.”
A JPMorgan Chase spokesman added that Dimon “acknowledges he should not speak lightly or disrespectfully about another country or its leadership.”
This is truly despicable.
But it’s not too surprising considering Dimon is a laughably veiled Biden supporter.
Forbes reported earlier this year on Dimon’s political giving.
“Looking at Dimon’s political donations, they don’t tell much of a story of a partisan bent, with marginal contributions in the 2020 election cycle to groups supporting Republicans in the Senate to the tune of $2,800 to the McConnell Senate Committee. However, his wife Judy, contributed $52,800 to the Biden campaign and political action committees supporting his candidacy.”
Troubling it appears the “world’s most important bank” is overseeing another woke corporation that will declare America systemically racist and won’t even make a benign joke about the CCP without begging for mercy.
Meanwhile, JPMorgan Chase and other banks have targeted Amerians for political reasons.
Conservative activist Laura Loomer had her Chase account canceled with no warning because of her outspoken views, and she isn’t alone.
Bank of America gave debit transactions to the FBI related to anyone who was in Washington, D.C. on or around January 6th.
These paragons of virtue when it comes to China have no problem targeting American citizens.
In Hollywood, the deference to China is even more disgusting.
WWE star and actor John Cena issued a stomach-turning apology in Mandarin after he had the audacity to recognize the independence of Taiwan during a press junket.
“I made one mistake. I have to say something very, very, very important now. I love and respect China and Chinese people. I’m very, very sorry about my mistake. I apologize, I apologize, I’m very sorry. You must understand that I really love, really respect China and the Chinese people. My apologies. See you.”
American corporations need to grow a spine and stand up to China, but the money must be too good.
