This biologist was censored on Instagram for a chilling reason

The culture of free speech is under direct assault.

And Big Tech is playing a central role in the erosion of the most important civil liberty.

Now one biologist was censored on Instagram for a chilling reason.

Colin Wright, evolutionary biologist and contributor to the centrist publication Quillette, was censored on Instagram for posting a scientific study that explained biological males who transition to women maintain significant athletic advantages.

Wright isn’t some online crank – he’s a serious scholar who has been published in major outlets.

He was also quoting a legitimate study.

From The Daily Mail:

Colin Wright, who has been published in the Wall Street Journal and was in academia for 12 years, posted a chart from the study – conducted by researchers at University of Manchester and Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm – showing that biological males have a performance advantage over biological females across many Olympics-contested sports.

Similar scientific conclusions were reached in a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine called ‘How does hormone transition in transgender women change body composition, muscle strength and haemoglobin? Systematic review with a focus on the implications for sport participation’ – conducted by researchers at Loughborough University and Karolinska Institute, Stockholm.

They each concluded that even after three years of hormone therapy transgender women on average still retain strength advantages over biological women, which may not allow for an even playing field in sports competitions.

Wright is the latest public intellectual to be censored for speaking out against the radical transgender orthodoxy that has seeped into the mainstream.

Ryan Anderson’s well researched book “When Harry Became Sally” was banned from Amazon amid pressure from transgender activists.

Wall Street Journal contributor Abigail Shrier had advertisements for her book “Irreversible Damage” blocked on Amazon.

Brown University was forced to retract a study that explored the phenomenon of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria—the idea that young girls in peer groups were transitioning as a form of social contagion at an anomalous rate.

Biological sex differences have been known for millennia, but leftist activists are attempting to make everyone forget.

And social media is dangerously playing along.
