The View’s harpies were left babbling like idiots after what Elon Musk just said about Trump

Elon Musk has become the bane of the Left’s existence.

His purchase of Twitter sent leftists into meltdown.

And Elon Musk just made one statement about Trump that left the harpies on The View babbling like idiots.

Donald Trump’s ban from social media was a jaw-dropping display of fascism from the establishment.

Prominent Democrats essentially threatened Facebook, Twitter, and other social media giants until they relented and summarily purged Trump from the platforms after the Capitol Hill riot.

But with Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, Trump could be back on the platform.

During a virtual interview with the Financial Times, Musk said he would reverse Trump’s permanent ban from Twitter, explaining, “I do think that it was not correct to ban Donald Trump. I think that was a mistake because it alienated a large part of the country, and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice…If there are tweets that are wrong and bad, those should be either deleted or made invisible, and a suspension—a temporary suspension—is appropriate, but not a permanent ban…Banning Trump from Twitter didn’t end Trump’s voice — it will amplify it from the right…This is why it is morally wrong and flat-out stupid.”

Musk’s words created a predictably strident reaction from the Left.

The women of The View, particularly Sunny Hostin, said that allowing Trump back on the platform would make Twitter more rancorous and “divisive,” as if the site is currently Shangri-La.

Kirsten Martin, a professor of technology ethics at the University of Notre Dame in Chicago, argued, “If Musk is concerned that many people were upset that Trump was banned, he should see how many more people would be upset if Trump was not banned…Musk only appears to be worried about the opinion of a small group of individuals who incite violence or perpetuate hate speech.”

Martin’s argument is insane.

It wasn’t just fringe right-wing characters who were against Trump’s permanent suspension.

Then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was no fan of Trump, criticized the move.

Merkel’s spokesman Steffen Seibert said at the time, “The right to freedom of opinion is of fundamental importance…Given that, the chancellor considers it problematic that the president’s accounts have been permanently suspended.”

French officials had a similar reaction.

Progressive actress and model Emily Ratajkowski said, “This gives Facebook/tech/Zuck THE MOST POWER. If he can shut the president up/off he can shut any of us up/off…My concern is that this gives big tech the opportunity to shut down ‘left extremists’ who are important political organizers.”

Wired Magazine, which is run by leftists, wrote upon the news of Musk’s announcement, “In general, don’t hand out lifetime bans for average users or political figures. A permanent ban from Twitter is a harsh sentence.”

Jack Dorsey, the man largely responsible for banning Trump from Twitter, added that “permanent bans of individuals are directionally wrong.”

The unhinged leftists and establishment players are going to have to sweat and find out if Trump will actually return to the platform.
