Big Tech has been given a lot of latitude to stifle conversation.
Counter-narrative discussion is grounds for permanent suspension from various social media platforms.
And the Biden administration just announced a frightening wave of censorship.
Big Tech oligarchs have been allowed to get away with censorship because of the refrain that they’re “private companies.”
However, that argument is losing a lot of luster.
Sites like Facebook and Twitter are operating like extensions of the government and working at the behest of the Democrat party, which blows up their argument of being private companies.
They’re behaving like state actors, and that point was made crystal clear when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that the Biden administration was working with Facebook to stop the spread of “disinformation.”

Due to a FOIA request, it came to light that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was in contact with Dr. Anthony Fauci and was all too eager to mold conversations in conjunction with him.
It was once considered “disinformation” to discuss the Wuhan lab leak hypothesis, and now it’s the prevailing theory.
The establishment does not get to decide what’s true and what isn’t.
But Psaki doubled down in her claim:
“It should not come as any surprise we are in regular touch with social media platforms . . . and we want to know that the social media platforms are taking steps to address [disinformation].”
This is incredibly chilling.
It also shows why Donald Trump has a reasonable chance at winning his lawsuit against Facebook and Twitter.
If they’re behaving as state actors, then they should lose their special protections.
Now that the public square has largely moved online, it’s more important than ever for people to be able to share ideas without fear of punishment from the regime.
That’s how the Chinese Communist Party and the Cuban dictatorship operate.
The fusion between Big Tech and Big Government poses the biggest authoritarian threat America has ever seen.
