Ted Cruz exposed one disturbing double standard at Facebook

Big Tech firms are eroding America’s culture of free speech.

Facebook is one of the worst actors in this regard.

And Ted Cruz exposed one disturbing double standard at Facebook.

Released emails prove that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was at the very least willing to collude with Dr. Anthony Fauci to tailor discourse around COVID-19 to an establishment narrative.

And Senator Ted Cruz is leading the charge in calling out Facebook’s arbitrary control over free speech and inquiry.

Cruz said in an interview:

“Facebook continues to give a free pass to the Chinese Communist Party’s state media accounts that peddle absolute lies, including about the Uyghurs, who the Chinese Communist Party has put in concentration camps…In America, Facebook has positioned itself as the arbiter of truth and political speech. They have banned a former leader of the free world, President Trump, and censored Americans who dared to wonder if the COVID-19 virus escaped from a Chinese lab.”

So Facebook believes it has a moral imperative to ban a sitting President, but turns a blind eye to the corruption and human rights violations of the CCP.

Speculating on the lab leak hypothesis was grounds for excommunication on social media.

Now that the establishment is willing to allow those discussions to happen, people can talk about what should’ve been an obvious possibility from the start.

The fact that people were not allowed to theorize that a novel coronavirus originated from a rare level four biohazard lab in Wuhan that was working on coronaviruses in bats is absurd.

Fringe conspiracy theories used to be mocked and derided by the mainstream.

But now the most likely scenarios are being blocked by the gatekeepers because they interfere with the narrative.

The current COVID taboo is that treatments like Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine could be effective in combating the virus.

Many physicians around the world have had success with these drugs, but they’re barely allowed to get a fair hearing within the corporate-controlled press.

As the public square has moved online, it’s becoming clear just how fragile establishment narratives are.

They can’t hold up to scrutiny because information can be transmitted so quickly.

That’s why Big Tech is working so feverishly to slow and constrict the free exchange of ideas.

Facebook is stifling debate, and they’re doing so in order to placate the government.

That is a deeply disturbing development for free speech.
