Republicans are attempting to get to the bottom of shenanigans under the Biden administration.
They finally put Attorney General Merrick Garland on the hot seat.
And Ted Cruz caught Merrick Garland off guard with this disappointed dad-style announcement.
Attorney General Merrick Garland was forced to answer questions before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and it did not go well for him.
He was grilled on several topics, including his inaction on far-left protesters violating federal—and local—law by protesting outside the homes of Supreme Court justices.
Garland got amnesia when he was asked one uncomfortable question
Before getting into his questioning of the Attorney General, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) put Garland off kilter with a classic “disappointed parent” style dressing down.

Cruz went to grill Garland over the leaks during active Department of Justice investigations.
Garland had no good response.
“I’ve read the leaks. They are inappropriate…We also don’t know where they come from,” Garland said.
The Biden Attorney General also couldn’t explain how leaks regarding Joe Biden’s classified documents scandal did not happen prior to the 2022 midterm elections.
In 2020 before the general election, the deep state kept it under wraps that Hunter Biden was under FBI investigation for financial malfeasance.
But that same FBI was telling every social media organization that “Russian disinformation” regarding Hunter Biden was on the horizon.
The feds preemptively torpedoed the “laptop from hell” story, which was true.
The DOJ also never figured out who leaked Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion in the Dobbs case.
The leaker was likely a liberal clerk who’s waiting for the statute of limitations to expire so he or she can get a book deal.
Garland added, “Leaks under all circumstances are inappropriate and they are not directed by anyone in the Justice Department.”
Garland seems to be totally oblivious as to what’s going on under his nose.
Senator Josh Hawley also grilled Garland on the fact that federal prosecutors executed the raid on Mar-A-Lago in opposition to the FBI.
Hawley said, “FBI field agents did not want to conduct the raid and they were overruled by [the Justice Department]…It doesn’t seem to me, Attorney General, that the FBI has a lot of confidence in you because what they’re doing, clearly, is trying to distance themselves from your decisions.”
Garland has been a disaster as the head of the DOJ.
He wanted to be on the Supreme Court, and he’s taking out his frustration on Republicans.
Members of the GOP need to continue hammering Garland the DOJ because they have lose the trust of the American people.
