Taylor Lorenz keeps on committing journalistic malpractice.
Her latest scandal could be her worst.
Now, Taylor Lorenz is in hot water after this disturbing “sexploitation” spyware scandal broke.
TikTok has become the most popular social media app with children surpassing Facebook and Twitter.
But everything isn’t as it seems with this social media heavyweight.
TikTok is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance and is suspected of handing over data on its users to the Communist government.
These questionable ties to the Communist government led some people to refer to it as the “Chinese spyware app.”
Its soaring popularity with young people has become cause for concern.
It spawned a variety of dangerous trends like the Tide Pod challenge which encouraged users to eat pods of Tide detergent.
Concern grew over what was promoted towards children on the platform.
In China, where the company is headquartered, the government strictly limits the content and amount of time children are allowed to use.
The Washington Post’s 43-year-old crybaby journalist Taylor Lorenz is one of the biggest cheerleaders for TikTok in the country.
As part of her social media beat for the Post, she regularly writes fawning pieces over the app.
It’s led some to wonder if she’s an activist doing positive PR for TikTok with her “journalism” being touted in Communist Chinese media.
She has suggested that bad media coverage of the social media site was because of a negative public relationship campaign launched by TikTok’s Silicon Valley competitors.
Now, reporting from Forbes exposes just how dangerous this social media giant is for children.
Forbes published an article with the shocking title, “How TikTok Live Became ‘A Strip Club Filled With 15-Year-Olds’.”
The article highlighted the disturbing behavior targeted towards children on the app and the lack of concern from TikTok.
They found that minors are targeted with virtual TikTok gifts or payment from services like Venmo or Cashapp to perform explicit acts for an adult audience.
Leah Plunkett, an assistant dean at Harvard Law School, described TikTok as enabling “sexual exploitation.”
She said it is “the digital equivalent of going down the street to a strip club filled with 15-year-olds. … That is sexual exploitation.”
This is absolutely horrifying news about the most popular social media app with children.
Lorenz, who covers social media stories for the Washington Post, has been silent on this disturbing story.
Instead of doing real journalism work and looking into the impact social media platforms like TikTok are having on American kids, she does hit pieces conservatives, like her attack conservative Twitter account “Libs of TikTok.”
The conservative Twitter account was actually exposing wrongdoing on the platform so Lorenz decided to do a hit piece and doxx the woman behind “Libs of TikTok” and call it journalism.
Lorenz exposed the identity of “Libs of TikTok” which led to women with the same name being harassed by leftists.
The 43-year-old crybaby has time to appear on an MSNBC segment about young people being harassed online, offering crocodile tears about having “PTSD” from the widespread condemnation for her hit pieces on conservatives.
While she attacks conservatives pointing out misdeeds on TikTok, she’s curiously silent about actual wrongdoing on the platform.
