The Biden administration has been mired in one scandal after another.
And the corporate press has ignored much of it.
Now Republicans are demanding answers from a top Biden official after two shocking deaths.
The Left have completely gotten on board with radical gender ideology and the concept of “transitioning” children.
The Democratic Party and countless organizations have inexplicably undertaken this insane agenda, and it’s literally costing kids their lives.
And Republicans are getting to the bottom of a National Institutes of Health study that resulted in two suicides.
A total of 315 people between the ages of 12 and 20, 240 of them minors, were given cross-sex hormones to study the supposed effects on mental health.
Study looked at 12–20 year olds
During the study titled “Psychosocial Functioning in Transgender Youth after 2 Years of Hormones,” two of the subjects tragically took their own lives.
People who suffer from gender dysphoria have significantly higher rates of suicide and suicidal ideation.
The Left claim that the rates are high because of lack of “gender-affirming care” and lack of acceptance, but the suicide rate remains high after treatment, and society has never been more tolerant of transgenderism.
Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rand Paul (R-KY), and Congressmen Josh Breechen (R-OK), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and others wrote a letter to Dr. Lawrence Tabak, acting director of the NIH, regarding the study and why it was allowed to continue despite two tragic deaths.
The Republicans wrote in the letter, “During this study, two young people died by suicide and eleven reported suicidal ideation…Rather than shutting the study down after such serious adverse events, the researchers published their paper, concluding that the study was a success because cross-sex hormones had altered subjects’ physical appearance and improved psychosocial functioning.”
So despite the two deaths and increased rates of suicidality, the study was deemed a success.
North Carolina Senator Ted Budd said in an interview that the researchers were “in search of an agenda and justifying an agenda, they’re not really about children’s safety as we’ve seen from the suicides.”
Gender clinics have an ideological drive to steer as many children as possible into “transition” as early as possible.
The Republican letter added, “In a video it later removed from its YouTube channel, Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the clinics involved, went as far as to claim that children can know their gender identity ‘from the womb.’”
These are the people that are hastily rushing children into sterilizing treatments that are irreversible, and the regretful de-transitioners are being completely ignored.
