Over the last couple of decades or so, leftists in Big Tech and the Deep State have carved out more and more power for themselves.
But never has one shadowy figure moving in the shadows between Big Tech and Big Government raised so many questions about abuse of power.
And this one anti-Trump FBI official has a lot of explaining to do over his dubious roles in so many major scandals – and its not who you think.
In the wake of Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, it has been revealed that an anti-Trump former Deep State official turned Twitter lawyer helped conspire with the federal government to advance the cause of the Left.
Former Twitter lawyer was at the center of Trump-era Russiagate probe
More specifically, it was unveiled by Elon Musk that former Twitter employees – likely including the former FBI lawyer who helped ignite the FBI’s Russiagate hoax – conducted weekly meetings with the federal government to strategize on which scandals and news stories to filter through their platform in the lead-up to the 2020 elections.
Those meetings led to Twitter censoring the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story for fear that it could – and likely would – help Donald Trump in the final days of the 2020 campaign.
At the time, Twitter claimed that the story was taken down because the information from Hunter Biden’s laptop was hacked and stolen, which is now widely known to be false. Hunter Biden took his computer to a repair shop, which is where the shocking contents were discovered.
These claims have been corroborated by former Twitter employees who have spilled the beans about their role in election meddling.
One such employee is Yoel Roth, who used to serve as the head of Twitter’s controversial Trust and Safety Department, which effectively made him Twitter’s top censor.
According to a sworn declaration Roth filed with the Federal Election Commission, he “was told in these meetings that the intelligence community expected that individuals associated with political campaigns would be subject to hacking attacks and that material obtained through those hacking attacks would likely be disseminated over social media platforms, including Twitter.”
Roth went on to say “I also learned in these meetings that there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden.”
But perhaps the most dubious actor in this groundbreaking scandal was James Baker, who served as one of twitter’s top lawyers and was also the top FBI lawyer who in 2016 set the meeting with cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann that got Democrats’ whole Russiagate hoax rolling.
The Washington Times reported:
“James Baker, who served as Twitter’s deputy general counsel and vice president beginning in June 2020, spent four years prior to that as the top lawyer for the FBI. It was in that post in 2016 that he linked up his friend, lawyer and Democratic operative Michael Sussmann, with top FBI investigators. Mr. Sussmann passed along claims that the Republican candidate was in contact with a Russian bank.”
In his role at Twitter, Baker said of the Hunter Biden laptop, “We need more facts to assess whether the materials were hacked. At this stage, however, it is reasonable for us to assume that they may have been and that conclusion is warranted.” Baker added, “indicating that the computer was either abandoned and/or the owner consented to allow the repair shop to access it for at least some purposes.”
As a former member of the FBI, Baker should have been completely capable of verifying the subpoena published by the Post was not based on hacked material.
But he chose not to.
The fact that the FBI’s former top lawyer, became the top lawyer at Twitter and had a direct role in suppressing the Hunter laptop bombshell just before the 2020 election, says everything Americans need to know as to why he didn’t bother to verify the subpoena.
